That's like spinning the chamber of a revolver with 1 bullet in the chamber...you are bound to pull the trigger on the live round.
From my analysis of your comment, you must be a member of the law enforcement without any respect or morals torwards a family of those that are deceased and therefore leads me to believe you are also extremely unintelligent! The fact that you would even compare "russian roulette" to an accident that cost the life of a child is absolutley morbid. Have you no self respect for even your self? What kind of man do you even think of yourself to be, hiding behind your two cent comments. I hope and pray to God that a man or woman at that matter would ever be allowed to respresent those whom serve and protect, frankly I'm ashamed to say that I share the same breath as another human being such as yours. In my eyes you are no better than an animal. P.S. The word "Thoroughfare" was what gave you away. If you have to put " No disrespect intended" you should already know disrepect will be all that is recieved.

I agree, for one to play russian roulette they'd have to deliberately put a loaded gun to there own head and hope they got lucky. This was a child sledding, not a deliberate risk taker, a child.
Whether or not someone needs to go to jail is irrelevent to putting blame on a child who found a hill while it was snowing and thought he might have fun with his friends sledding. Children and some adults take lots of risks, not deliberately, but because they didn't think it through.
As for the assumption of the previous poster being a member of law enforcement, Are you suggesting all police officers have no respect or morals? Are all unintelligent? I come from a family with several police officers, including my son. If you're upset because you feel the police haven't done their job, intentionally or due to incompetence, they do something about that. I have seen many post,s on this forum of this tragic loss, about different conspiracy theories or police officers not doing right, but to assume that because someone is insensitive and blaming the victim must be a police officer is wrong also.
Maybe the person placing blame on the poor child for putting himself in danger, his parents for not being there at ever possible moment, the police for a cover up, the politicians the same cover up, Jack Frost for making it snow, and whoever else.... Maybe this is someone trying to draw attention away from the fact this child was killed, accident or not, and no one has come forward to take responsibilty for this tragedy.
Maybe it's you.

Many old cases/cold cases are solved and this case does need to be solved; for the family and the Blue Issland community.

Children sledding into a street. Parents who knew where the children were and what they were doing but did not make them stop. A driver who was really in the wrong place at the wrong time. These factors resulted in a terrible accident and the unnecessary death of a child. The driver did not stop and perhaps did not even know what had happened. The police investigated but with few witnesses or leads the case grew cold. Frustrating for the police; heartbreaking for the family; and confusing the community. No murder. No cover-up. No protection of the driver. Just an awful accident with responsibility falling in many places. Robbie will not be forgotten - not by his family, the police, or the community - but it is time to put aside the conspiracy theories and accept the reality that accidents happen and may never be resolved. RIP, Robbie Silva.

One black eye for Blue Island after another; with no corrective action. Why? All involved in all of these activities and actions in each and every case (yes, there are multiple) should be expose. Policy and proceedures are in writing should be made available and followed; a corrective action plan must be put in place along with training across the board.

Just like the murderer Fred bilotto. These are the pigs folks. Trying to act like they ran out of leads. Walk around town, ask questions.

Here's the thing-if it truly was an accident because of the timing of the sled coming down the hill and the car coming, then the person should have stopped and helped that poor child. He should have done the humane thing. Even if you left the scene, you had time to come back and make this right for that poor mother who not only lost a son and no closure will ever make him come back, but at least that anger and pain could have been slightly decreased knowing a person did not leave her son to die like an animal in front of his friends on the street. This is the part that makes you wonder about if substances were involved, if the person was in a place he was not supposed to be? Who knows but that person and the people involved in that cover up. This is what increases the anger and makes that poor mother probably have a harder time with the grief of her loss that many of us will never hopefully ever experience. Good for Sgt. Haro and the mother for not giving up. I hope this comes to light soon and BI makes the right decision and holds all accountable. I think this is going to be much deeper than we all realize.

I knew Robbie, he was a couple months older than me, but to all those saying this is some type of "conspiracy" or "planned murder" I highly doubt all that. It was tragic, I know, but you have to remember people do hit-and-runs, the person hit him & took off knowing that there'd be no way he could face the consequences. I doubt he was under the influence of anything. Robbie slid out from the wall, the driver didn't see till it was too late. BIPD is corrupt, they all are. You'll catch all these mayors & chiefs in the same clubs & bars all the time like something out of a movie. They won't "look into it" they won't "reopen it". That being said, the driver well you could maybe imagine is long gone by now they haven't found him in 2005 they won't now especially it being all up to BIPD. Don't blame the parents, I actually heard his sled rope ripped before he reached the end of the snow. Now what would you blame besides the driver? Don't be childish and argue about anything else but justice.
RIP Robbie Silva

The chain of command is clear, the appointed and elected officials in charge are known, the police know who did it, and it is much deeper.

Yes the corruption is deep in BI. Anything to protect for those who can pay. Was a local business is involved who can disposed of a vehicle?
