One certainly hopes that among the earlier (though, one concedes, not the most important) things to receive the attention of the President-Elect and his Congress, after Inauguration, will be the predatory and gamey airlines: they, too, have followed GWB's lead and have been lying to the public, while stealing (the metaphor, "siphoning off" seems especially apt, here) money and eliminating paying jobs; and now, they (collectively) have the brass to increase fares for those who want to travel to the inauguration? It's time to bring back a newer and better version of The CAB, and remind the grifters and cherry-pickers in the travel world that, as is always said about driving a car with a license, operating a business-for-profit that is essential to the country and its people and its commerce is a privilege, not a right.

I was very confident about Obama's winning; this past August, I booked a hotel suite and a flight using my miles. Now, I will enjoy being there for this moment of history with my sister-in-law and niece.

Whether I get tickets or not, it's about being there......

I have rooms if you are still looking or know of anyone still needing rooms. I also got the rooms prior to the election so I do have good prices. I was contacted to put this togehter and after I had contract with the hotel the person backed out. Now I am just trying to get rid of the rooms. Crown Plaza Alexandria VA. Let me know if you would like more information.
