Proponents want young prissy little pervs to swagger around school with impunity, maybe even winking at a jock or two while licking their lips and patting their groins. Hey, they're safe to do it.
What they need is the time honored method of having their peers straighten them out how ever they chose while they're young enough to be saved from themselves. Leave the kids alone to properly socialize emerging perverts.
Worse, misguided and pervert school committee members themselves hope to turn the student body into snitches eager to report any aggressive behavior or even words spoken against acceptance of perversion as normal. Tyranny of the left will turn your town into another Sodom and Gomorrah. Wake up voters and parents with school age kids. Voting democrat has open opportunities for perverts, socialists and America haters to run your lives and destroy your society. Stop sitting on your fat asses sucking bon bons while watching imbecile TV programs and get involved.

If your insipid rant is indicative of what we would get as a result of voting republican, then it's an excellent inducement to vote Democratic. Hopefully, real Republicans, Tea Partiers, etc., are not so filled with blinding hatred and ignorance.

Why are these "recommendations"? Why are witnesses being "encouraged" to report bullying? They should be mandatory, and if someone is known to have witnessed bullying and done nothing, they should be at least fired (if a teacher or faculty) or suspended/expelled (if a student).

Depending on the cirustances (the severity of the problem, if it leads to a tragedy as in the case of Phoebe Prince, or severe injury of the victim), then certainly charges should be brought. I do NOT, however, advocate the immediate use of the legal system when parents and teachers are perfectly capable of dealing with all but the most extreme cases. This is the only real concern I have with any new anti-bullying legislation.

Unfortunately in today's society Parents DO NOT deal with bullying in their children! In fact, in alot of today's cases Parents ENCOURAGE it! and the teachers hands are tied as they have limited abilities to handle these difficult situations. Sadly, it has reached the point where the legal system needs to be brought in. Todays parents are not teaching social skills like using basic manners let alone learning to get along with their peers. Their is a hugh mindset out there that if your not a jock or belong to a sports clique you are not worthy and therefore looked down upon and I'm not talking about the kids here, but the Parents! As a school professional I see this ALL TOO OFTEN! We need to get back to the old fashion principles and priorities of our Parents!
