If other officers had been present with officer Barnes, Terry Adam Boone would have been shot more than once.

When we hard working people call the police, we expect them to protect us, by any means.

When a criminal is shot, many other criminals will object and point their fingers, after all, one of their own has been shot. I guess they do not remember the many victims that they have left behind.

The people who were there, the man up stairs, and the cop know the truth....and now they have to anwser to the big judge when they pass for what they have done to an innocent 20 year old boy. And thats just how I feel...Thank you for your time

I agree with you Tonya. I knew Adam and what these people who didn't know him are blogging about him just breaks my heart. I know in my heart there will be justice for Adam, because there are too many people who care for him just to let this go. The media and the police need to tell the whole truth instead of trying to cover up every thing. My thoughts and prayers are always with the family and friends. RIP TAB

The gastonia police department have a hard enough time with all the drugs and violent crimes, here in the city.Just because one officer may have made a mistake, maybe an honest and horrible mistake,do not judge all of the police for a shooting that so far we do not know all of the story of what happened.I have met some good police officers on the force. Its like any kind of job, mistakes are made and we have to make sure we know the full story before we can judge the officers actions. If we did not have the police out patrolling the streets of gastonia,it would be a very dangerous place.Sure we have some police officers that are bad apples, but we can weed those out.I think that when the youg men who go through police training, they are taught that we the people are more or less the enemy.they are taught or given the impression that we the common people are all potential criminals.I know one officer who is just a regular guy when not on duty, but when he puts the inform on he basically becomes a different person. His personality changes as if he has two different persons inside his brain. If he shot and killed mr.boone in the back of the head, something is very wrong. It should not be investigated by internal affairs department.they will just cover it up,by saying it was justified. How can you justify a shot to the back of the head? We also do not need the SBI investigating this case either.WE need a panel that is not associated with the police department. So lets get some real answers from a investigation from some regular citizens.I wont the boones mother to contact me. my email is charlieb1950@yahoo.com

I am tired of people making bad comments on my brother, not just on here on a couple of other websites. but they dont know my brother. he was only 20 years of age. People should not judge other people when they no nothing about that person and you can not always belive what the news says. People were trying to put him out to be a bad person. every body makes mistakes nobodys perfect and you knew he was just a teenager wanting to have a good time you know. And mabey in a couple a years he would have settled down. But see now he is dead and cant. and why couldnt that cop have shot him anywhere els. its sad how so many are killing people these days. i wish people would stop. i love you adam. and i miss you so much. i wih you were here. rip ADAM.....

20 years old,why he was still had a lot of time to settle down and made a good citizen. For any one to say bad things about him, shame on them.If it was their brother it would have been different story to them.I did not know him,but i did know some boones when i went to school, seemed like fine people to me,was he any kin to rosa boone?I went to school with her at chapel grove. As i said people can be cruel when its not thier family members.......love you all .....charlie

We should have an independant investigation by a panel of idependant citizens to look at the evidence and aks the people who wre there what really happened. We do not want the policedept. or SBI investigating it.They can can say they are independant but we all know they are are an arm of the police department that is biased.Lets all get a good look at what happened and then we can decide if the police officers actions was justified. The police have some very good people on the force and also some who are not.But they are a fraternity. So demand that some one besides the internal affairs dept.,SBI,or the FBI look into the incident.Remember they work FOR us.I recommend a regular citizens panel look into it and make a decision,if the shooting was justified or not.If the boy was shot in the back of the head, something smells bad. yours charlie

And you are right,it has to be someone outside the judicial system.otherwise it will seem like a cover up.Lets hear from the police officers own lips, publicly just what justified a shot to the back of the head.

All of these good men and women were gunned down. Why couldn't they have been shot somewhere where it wouldnt have killed them?

267 officers killed by gunfire in North Carolina alone. Maybe even more than that. Odd how you dont read about their families seeking litigation against the parents of the individual accused of killing them. Oh, thats right. You can't blame the family for the actions of one person. Or at least thats how reasonable people with common sense and decency feel.

dear god bless our police, We are not talking about the deaths of a police officer here.I feel sorry about all the police officers deaths.they aer real tradies too. What we are talking about is one police action that took place and if the shooting of the young man was justified. Are you insinuating that the deaths of all the police officers was the reason the police officer in question is automatically innocent because all those officers lost thier lives in the line of duty.Sadly you are wrong.By your statements alone ,you are justifying a police offers who may in the heat of the moment made a mistake just because of all the police officers that you mentioned lost thier lives, yuo are saying in effect give the officer a pass.that he is innocent because other officers lost there lives. That is a travestry in itself! Now thats what i read in your statements you are suggesting. If that was your son ,you would be just as upset as that boys mother!

Cops are the punks that we use to bitch slap in school. They are scared little babies that are ashamed of being pushed around. They now hide behind guns and badges but the yellow shines through every time that you hear of a back shooting. All cops should answer to the same system that everyone else does. This cop should be charged with murder and jailed without bond and presumed guilty (as everyone else is)until his day in court. The crimes of police officers will continue until (we the people)take a stand. We all set back and read about the suffering of families at the hands of law enforcement and do nothing until it is a member of our family murdered by law enforcement. We all seem to forget that police work for a town, county, state Etc. and that town, county, state,Etc. works for us! pressure applied by enough people will result in justice for all. We the people make it happen.

A policeman or for that matter no on is above the law.as i have stated before,i believe that when they are sent to rookie school, they are taught that its the police against the civilians. That we are the enemy. We are not!We hire them to police the neighbors and also your families. They see while on the job,a lot of scary stuff that we the people do.And that makes them somewhat scared of the people that they are hired to protect.
