I may have been away for far to long, but when, and who, voted to spend OUR taxdollars on street signs that say "G-Town"? It may be that I just noticed the signs, and they've been around for a while... but just when did the ebonics plague hit our street signs??? Did we really elect people that would approve this kind of expense? I know that waste has grown to an enormous size, and the accepted practices of these elected reps. may need to be questioned (VERY often) as an actual need, or just an accepted way of spending. When does the waste end???

yea so i noticed those months ago and being a high school student i laugh at the people who decided to put these up because they are probably like 50 and it wasnt cool when the teenagers said it so why would anyone think it was cool for them to say it. schools needed paper and ink last year and they go and spend money on those stupid signs. as if gaston county was already bad enough.

Well, I have heard it called the "G-Spot" many times...lol...G-town is better:-)..I dont see what the big deal is. I am glad that we are getting new signs and new businesses in the downtown area. We could have a really nice little town center.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Sagittarius

You still prefer to be in a world of your own, in which nothing nasty is happening, but at least you're feeling a little more realistic than you were yesterday. It's a perfect day for visiting somewhere beautiful, peaceful or relaxing, or for going to the cinema or an art gallery. But it will be difficult to get up the energy for any prolonged Christmas shopping.
