I just bought a home in Summerhill. I chose this town because it was well groomed and seems like a very tight community. A place where I can raise my sons and my fiance can raise her girls. We are both degreed professionals and tend to work long days.

When we come home, we like to feel like our neighborhood is a place where we can let our guard down a bit.

Last night at about 9pm, we heard a quad go racing down our street, and return..and continue to do so for the better part of an hour. That's pretty late to be out, especially in the kind of weather we were having last night. Not only that, but this driver was crossing over private property.

I have also seen quads on Jackson Street, Diebert and Pine. Aren't there ordinances that protect us from having to deal with this? Last time I looked, quads are not licensed to be on public roadways, nor are they insured as cars are.

I want to find out who is doing it and I also want to know what I can do to prevent it from happening again. I have more concerns that this will occur on weekends during daylight hours and put our kids at risk. Typically, quad operators are reckless and tend to ignore MVRs. I used to work in law enforcement, so I am probably biased. Quads belong on offroad terrain or private land.

If anyone else has seen or had a problem with this, please reply here.
