U46 teachers say they're being laid off without cause
Several non-tenured teachers at middle schools and high schools are getting laid off without just cause, according to U46 teachers and Elgin Teachers Association President Tim Davis.

Be prepared, even if the axe hasn't yet fallen. I found this resource helpful for BEFORE and DURING the dreaded Pink Slip Moment. It's an app, available thru iTunes' App Store called "Pink Slip" that tells you what to do moment to moment, what to say/not say, etc. Really helped during that paralyzing moment when I got called into HR.
