It is so good to see old buildings redone, rather than new ones put up. We all benefit in so many ways, including the wildlife which has suffered so much in recent years.

Surprising that the town didn't just bulldoze the property and build a Walgreen's.

I used to fish there in HS with permission from the care taker of the property at the time, i hope they cleaned up all the mercury in the water....

Though it is good to see the area returned to a usable state, the nearby residents have had a number of problems with the contractors doing the work.

Coventry needs to be sure they have proper staff to oversee big projects like this to protect existing neighbors and ensure adherence to ordinances and zoning.

My question is who 'over-sees' the staff. The town enforces draconian regulations on citizens, but does follow it's own rules.

I questioned the town practice of not marking trees in the right of way before cutting and was told they don't need to follow that rule.

Sad :(

Oversight is so necessary, but that means adequate staffing... and that means more town employees... and for a community that has a history of not supporting adequate budgets, sufficient staffing will never be realized.

If we don't have the proper staff, we shouldn't approve projects that require alot of oversignt. Or we implement a system where there are 'n' slots for ongoing projects and no new ones can be approved until another one is finished.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Gemini

It's a busy day and you've got quite enough to do without having to cope with people clamoring for your attention and likely to go into a huff if they don't get it. Is this person feeling neglected because you're busily occupied elsewhere or are there other reasons for their demanding mood? Simply giving them a big hug could make all the difference to their behavior.
