I started ths post as one of my co-workers has scripture hanging around, talks of church, and in general makes it well known he is a christian, then turns around and refuses to support his co-workers. He gossips, tries to help himself at others expense, and tries to start trouble all the time. While I know that all christians are not like this it is this sort of open insult that corrupts the secular view of chrisians.

What you could to do is take the high road and ignore him. Or you could look up a few passages in the Bible that pertains to God dont like hypocrites and hang them in your office where he could see them and get the point ???

Or next time he's running his mouth at the water cooler....ask him which commandment of God's is he breaking now?
Or when he throws his coworker under the bus and tries to take the credit....which commandment is he breaking now?
Ask that Christian what God did to gossipmongers ???
Just food for thought for your coworker..

Oh man on man, this could turn into a bible thumpers hay day. But to answer the question, yea I like my church and non churched friends. Just like me they sin and act like a pack of mad dogs many times. None thes less some have the good sence on occation to repent and ask for forgiveness. It must be ok I have never seen any evidence that they are not forgiven. Maybe still screwed up bit forgiven all the same.

AMEN

But I have seen youre kind come and go not smart enough to pour piss out of a boot. Get a life and let who ever is leading you take care of there own business. Other than let them make you look any dumber!

Everyone in this argument, Christians and Heathans alike, need to look at the definition of the word christian, which I think is to be christ like. I'm pretty sure my history books tell me that he would turn the other check. Lets stop throwing stones, and live and let live. The Almighty Homeboy has spoken. (bells ring in the back ground, you can smell incense burning)

You don't think that the Old Testament is a library of history books?

Although probably every single Old Testament book contains something of historical value, the books which are commonly regarded as specifically historical are these:

Joshua
Judges
Ruth
1 & 2 Samuel
1 & 2 Kings
1 & 2 Chronicles
Ezra
Nehemiah
Esther

The first five books of the Bible, commonly referred to as the Pentateuch, or Torah, include the origin and development of the nation of Israel up till the time of the entry into the promised land. The book of Joshua contains details of this entry and subsequent conquest, which follow chronologically in time from the Pentateuch.

In relation to the factual nature of biblical history it is worth noting that archaeologist Dr. Clifford Wilson has personally documented, in a multi-volume work over 5000 individual discoveries which support specific details of biblical history, most of them from the Old Testament.

Thus, the Bible has been repeatedly vindicated as a book which contains real historical value. The discoveries documented by Dr. Wilson are in existence in the archeological sections of the museums of the world, or in private collections, although probably only a tiny fraction of the possible evidence has actually either been preserved or discovered.

Nevertheless, it is also said that hardly a day goes by without some new discovery which vindicates the accuracy of the biblical record of history.

When I chose the words history book I knew it would spark debate, and once again even Christians can't see the fire for all the smoke. Why cloud the truth with superfluous details, some real and some man made. The fire in the message is be good to each other and good things will happen to you. Wether Jesus is God, the son of God, a Prophet( Jewish New Testiment = profit) or just a philosopher, what he said is right. It is the basis for almost all religions.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Libra

It's Christmas Eve and you're running around like a scalded cat. However, it will do you no end of good if you can find a few moments here and there for some quiet contemplation. You might want to visit a place that's sacred to you, or take a walk in some beautiful surroundings so you can commune with nature. You need to feel that you're connecting with something bigger than yourself.
