My motto for the DA, prosecutor, etc. relating to Strong should be "Hang 'Em High". What a disgusting loser. Hope his conscience finally came into play....but probably not. Good job to whoever found this joker. i wonder if mr. strong has any priors? was this a dui??? ill bet he has prior dui's

I knew Gene Hobbs and still know his family very well. Gene was a man full of life, and love for his family, friends, and anyone who would give him a minute to talk. He loved people and was well loved. It is such a shame that his life was taken because someone was a stupid and impatient driver! It is even worse that the person who caused this did not have the honor to stay and face those injured and the police, or to turn themselves in. I hope that this arrest and any further arrests in this case gives these families some sense of justice being done.

i hate to be oppositional but no where does it say he was drunk. if he was then murder two, if not then maybe manslaughter. i say maybe because i didn't see where he hit the cars, so i fail to see where it was a hit and run on his part. he did make a bad choice to pass but i also wonder if the mother had been driving instead of the 15 year old who was an inexperienced driver who swerved and most likely over corrected instead of just braking then things would be different. they did not wind up that way tho. so all we can do is speculate but i still don't see how this guy should be charged with murder. unless he was drunk.

The 15 year old had his permit and was within the law driving the vehicle. Perhaps a more experienced driver could have avoided some of this, but it is in no way their fault. Alcohol was involved... it may not say it in the story, but it was. strong has several DUI's and domestic A&B's. his is a dirtbag.

Inexperience had nothing to do with this, let that part go, where this happened is a 2 lane highway with poor shoulders even though some are ashpalt, 2 cars going north with one of them passing and 1 car going south, at a high rate of speed (speed limit there is 65mph)to avoid that kind of mess you would have to be a highly skilled driver, you only see that in hollywood films.

I remember this accident, It was on Mother's Day of this year. The mother was teaching her son how to drive since he had his learners permit. The other gentleman who was killed was a grandfather and loved by many. This accident broke my heart. I am grateful that the authorities did not give up on this case, they continued to investigate and have a suspect. May justice be served.

Please people, don't blame a deceased child for something a DRUNKEN WORTHLESS MAN caused. Regardless, the DRUUNKEN WORTHLESS MAN was passing when he did not have room and THREE people lost their lives. It is a terrible shame these beautiful individuals lost their life. Pray for their families and friends. Take a stand against the jerk who caused this and the judges that let these people out to only kill or hurt someone again.

There were eye-witness accounts of this person being at bar(s) prior to the accident I'm told. Also, the 15-year old was legal to be driving and with his mother, so why try to tarnish the poor boy when the accident wasn't his fault. I would suggest putting the blame where it belongs. My prayers go out to all the families involved here.

Look up the difference between manslaughter and 2nd degree murder. Besides, what he is charged with isn't always what he's convicted of.
