Troopers ran ATV off road, beat rider, lawsuit alleges

Didn't hear anybody say he was legal pulling a trailer. Used to be a trailer had to be licensed as well as a boat. Maybe I can just drive my car with no insurance down a road with no lines too. What other stupid laws are there. Some towns require a license on a bicycle. Even people get fined for jaywalking in town. The laws are as stupid as the lawmakers in Charleston. Some of those ATVs will go as fast as a motorcycle, which btw require a license. You see more at night than during the day so they have no regard for the law. They even cut down fences and go on property where they clearly are not wanted. A hardware store that sells fence told me about that.

Thank God for Lawyers. If not for them people like them and like the Sophia PD good get away with even more crap. If this happened, I hope both of them loose their jobs and all their benefits. Get what they deserve.

There isn't enough to count on one hand that is used legally. Many have no lights and ones that do are not working properly. Just about all of them have the muffler torn off or sound like it. A lot of riders not old enough for a license anyway. The road I live on has lines and they go by my house every day. And they go faster than the speed limit. Don't tell me they only go 35mph. That is not true. Thats why some get killed, going 60 or 70mph. Sometimes only the back wheels on the ground.

What makes you think he tried to resist? I didn't see that mentioned anywhere. It also wouldn't matter if he did. Never does an officer have the right to strike a subdued suspect. Hell I wouldn't even call this guy a suspect just a victim. If I'm not mistaken they didn't even charge him with anything. So in what would do you live in that it's okay to arrest people for no reason then beat them for the fun of it?

The problem is that bad cops do as they please with no fear of retribution or justice coming back to bite them. Lawyers are the only thing that get results when dealing with bad cops. They hit them where it hurts them, in the wallet.
