Having been skeptical about Del. Perriello going in, I must say that I was impressed with his grasp of the issues and his ability to set the record straight about the many rumors and loose talk going around about health care reform and several other issues. I'm glad someone of either political party is finally trying to do something that's for the good of us average folks, instead of always sticking up for the rich, who've had it made for the last decade in not paying their fair share of taxes. Hurt is apparently so overconfident that he won't even appear at any public debate and give the public a chance to see what he's all about -- at least Perriello can face us and look us in the eye. Hurt is also backed by big bucks who want to see uranium mining in the county no matter what damage it does, too. He's better come out of the shadows and start talking.
