Shadow....you sound like a whiny little brat.

Your friend was a druggy and a criminal. He could have still been alive today but he chose to make really stupid, drug-influenced decisions.

I know you are sad.

But, not one of those police officers really would have cared about Seamster had he not been doing something so BLATANTLY illegal right in front of them. Pretty sure those undercover guys were more about the bigger fish in the proverbial drug pond. But to have turned a blind eye or let him escape would have been negligent on their part.

He was on no one's radar before all of this. Just another small time criminal headed for some serious time, eventually, at the State Penn. Probably sooner than later.

Those officers didn't want to shoot him. But they didn't want to see him run anyone over or have to witness a 6 car pileup on southbound 501, either.

Your friend was screwed up. Strung out, hopped up, bad news. You and your camp could have tried to help Seamster out....get him to quit the drugs and walk down a more positive path. You didn't. You are not responsible for his death.

Likewise, none of us on here are responsible for those officers' shooting him. I am pretty sure we would have ALL done the exact same thing if we had been in the same situation.

Have you ever seen such a bullshit ruling? Look at the tape..the cop jumps on the hood shoots the guy and jumps off like he's in an action movie!! If everyone who rolled a joint in halifax county got shot there would be alot of dead people..Cops included..They are as much drug users as anyone..I'm so sick of cops getting away with whatever they want to. And the commonwealth attorney better enjoy her job..cuz she won't get elected again.... What a crock...i say F**k the police....Bunch of doughnut eatin, lying arrogant whores!!

I really find your post funny......yeah, the cop jumped on the hood to keep from getting ran over. Can you prove the cops are drug users?? I don't think so, cause they don't. If you say "f**K the police", who are you going to call when you need help? Stereotyping cops as "doughnut eatin, lying arrogant whores" is showing you have no respect for the men and women that protect and serve.

Sounds like you have been busted once or twice yourself. Also sounds like you have zero knowledge of police. I know several cops in Lynchburg, several in Halifax and one in Halifax that was formerly in Lynchburg, and none of them use drugs. In my opinion, if you're gonna sling mud, you shouldn't do it anonymously. Cowards do that.

Richmonder-sounds to me like Concerned Citizen is actually "TAXPAYER". If they start posting things about all the police in Halifax Co. trying to sleep with her, we know who she really is then!!

This kid wasnt trying to run anyone over. He was just a scared kid. A man with a gun walks up at a gas station and doesnt show a badge or identify himself as a cop. they didnt have time say "police" but they had time to pull guns and shoot a kid for rolling a joint?

That shows what that cop thinks about first... his gun. Just another abusive trigger happy cop. No news here.

No one pulled a gun out until Seamster was on the move.

Did you read the report issued by the commonwealth's attorney? No. Eye witnesses saw the men, heard them yelling "Stop! Police!" and the eye witness knew they were policemen.

No, that shows that the cop thinks first about the safety of himself, his fellow officers, and the civilians around him.

(I hope I did the quote thingies right-there's no "Preview" feature here, so once I submit, it's not fixable.

I think you're right on this one. Go back and look at the posts - from the start. I lump Shadow and Taxpayer in together. The only one here who has offered up any possible discussions that contrast our ideas was "Linda." I may not have agreed with her, but she presented her opinions in an understandable manner and tried to remove the emotion out of the post.

You shouldn't be arguing with the person called Phoenix. He has his opinion and he has offered you his reasons for it. In doing so he ( or she ) has been very polite with you while you choose to come across as challenging and immature. You aren't in the same league.

It makes your opinion look less credible.

Well it looks like the 'justified' camp was wrong on this one.

1.4 million dollars for wrongful death!!
