Thank you???? for what? just foarapproving the event? what effort has he put into it? all the credit goes for the arts community.
Where was the mayor's presence last year?? Oh yes, this year , after the event prove to be a succes, then he appears just to take credit on it? so thank you barrett? for what exactly????? please specify.

Congrats bTW to the arts community, this second event was even greater than last's year.

I heartily agree. Are people supposed to understand that way back when Barret "envisioned" a downtown arts colaberation and people looked at him funnily?
That's not why people looked at him like that. He looks funny(like Don Rickles' brother with a toupe)and besides he wierds people out anyway.
As long as he intends to run for mayor he should stick his nose in other aspects of the city and let the artists do their thing.
He needs to be reminded that he has business to attend to.

And he shouldn't have grabbed that kid and screamed at her either. What a psycho.

I was shocked at his behavior. As an adult, I am all for giving kids a strong talking to when they don't follow the rules, but to physically accost a child on the street and scream at them in unacceptable. He'll be lucky if he isn't taken to court!

I remember when The Mayor and City Council scoffed at the artisits and any idea of a creative ecomony. It is amazing that city hall takes credit for all of it today. These organizations that actually promote these events would have developed the program here or someplace else with or with our current administration. The c,veteran city councilors that try to take credit for supporting this type of economy should be ashmed of themselves. I remeber many of them from the former Northern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce. They certainly did not support it back then.

I do not know what this kid did but I would tend to believe that the Mayor was justified in disciplining what was most likely an out of control child who is the product of one of our proud welfare residents. Probably the first time anyone ever disciplined this child.

the girl was skateboarding down the sidewalk. the mayor yanked her off the board and started yelling at her. she was crying and called her dad. her dad came and started yelling at the mayor.

it's not okay to skateboard on the sidewalk, but it's totally out of line for an adult, especially the mayor, to manhandle another person, specifically a kid.

Of course, as always, ANON was there. Folks, above is is an unbiased opinion. Yup. Pure facts.

Bridge for sale, anyone? Anyone??

I heard that Dickie hit the girl with a bat soon after then mugged her in the alley.

I wonder what is more dangerous - a dictator in city hall or an ex-dictator policing the sidewalks from skateboarding children. I don't like either!

If he put his hands on her then he is wrong!
If he scolded her then that is a different story.

Haven't you notice? These guys are making up the story, you know... city hall employes using stupid tactics, to discredit "anon", which is not the same "anon" as always, silly childidh barret's suckers tactics.

Funny! The artists in North Adams are the first ones that will NOT vote for Barrett!
