Downtown and the areas roughly between it and UTEP - EL Paso High, have always been my favorite. As gas prices generally rise along with traffic, its wiser to live in areas close to work and school. Those areas also have the nicests old buildings and views.

How true. I moved near UTEP...sold my car and got a bicycle instead. Sure, I pay a little extra in rent than I would on the East side or some other far place in EP, but the savings add up when I am not burning it up in fuel nor in parking fees. People need to start looking at saving $$ in the long term. But then again, this is el Paso.
