Because the definition of a 'griever' in my eyes is someone who is too sad about losing their friend to be reading comments on a Newsday message board. You're not a 'griever', you're an opportunist who sees this as a way to get attention and to say "poor me, poor me" to the world.

First of all my condolences to all family and friends of these two men. This is a tragic loss. I am a life long resident of KP and visit the Bluff often. The Bluff is quite bright at night. I've been there at all hours. I can understand with the heavy rain and low visibility why they drove in the water. It's so sad. If you go out on a boat out of there and at high or low tide the current is so very strong. Theres no way to swim. My prayers are with you all.

I worked with Robert and Ryan at the Jeffersons Ferry on LINY six years ago. I would have never thought at the time that these two individuals would have a prefound loss. Currently I live in seattle, I moved to seattle six years ago and worked at the JF days before the move. I just found out today what had happened two these two guys, that were loving, incredibly attractive, and fun to be around. Many loved both of them. And to hear that they have both passed away is just unbelieveable. I wish I could have said good bye. I will miss both of them very much, but they are in a better place now. Both their spirits will remain with all of those who knew them. God be with them and their families. My condolances My sympathy and my love and my prayers to Robert Ungerer and Ryan Colvin. Both of you were close friends, you died together and you will live together forever. Rest in Peace.

It's been almost 11 months, One year is closing in. A year without our friends. A year of memories that would have been that will now never be. We have all learned to smile again, to hang out with friends, to go to work; however, we go through the motions of daily living with a weight on our shoulders and missing peices of our hearts. The reality is, we do these things each day because we must, not because we want to. When we think of our lost friends we can not catch our breath, we can not ease the ache in our hearts, we can not imagine the rest of our lives without them. We do go on though. Again, it is not easy, but it is what Rob and Ryan would have wanted for their friends- to always embrace life, to keep moving forward, and to change this sad world for the better. We have made a committment to each other and to our boys- we will make this world a better place because it fell apart when you left. we Love you. Your families are surviving- because they have to. This year has been terrible but beautiful because the strength we never knew we had came out of us- because of you both. Surround us on the 15th of March and the 22nd of April, the two worst days of our young lives. We love you Ryan and Robert

I hope that every single loser on here who has made a nasty negative comment has the same thing happen to one of their children or loved ones. If it did happen it would be well deserved. It takes a real low life loser to make a comment about someone's accidental death that they didnt even know. I wish the worst on all of you.

what a waste wrote: <quoted text> Rob was the owner and driver of the car He took off after the accident You must've felt like a real champion after Rob's body was found 6 weeks later. Also, chances are you have no friends or sense of loyalty.
