Cops: Coram man, others assaulted in Sound Beach

A Coram man suffered multiple fractures when he was struck in the face with a brick and two others with him were also treated at a hospital for their injuries after they were assaulted by a group of men in Sound Beach early Monday morning, police said.

Sound Beach is a beautiful community. I live there now and have never had a problem. Going to any beach at 2:45am is a risk, regardless of location.

The girl that was hit weighed like 85 pounds and not even 5'0 tall. These dudes told the 2 guys that were beat up they were going to rape their girlfriends. They tried to walk away and got jumped. I hope they get caught.

It was a great area to grow up in years ago. Like anything else, people have to come in and ruin a perfectly nice community. Back in the day, it was a summer community and very quiet. I grew up 1 town away that is now considered very upscale. So all you people that knock Sound Beach, you don't know what you are talking about.

A very close call for those two young men and their girl friends. Not a bright idea to begin with, at least they protected the girls from a vicious sexual attack, which all indications show was the intention of the four examples of excrement that attacked them. When they are caught, I hope they will pay the price for their bestial behavior. They may even suffer some broken bones for resisting arrest, when apprehended. As for the heavy critism aimed at the victims for being on the beach at that hour, I would like to know, should law abiding citizens allow filthy criminals like these restrict when and where we can be to avoid criminal attack, or should we get very tough with the attackers in this case, and set an example.?
