So the drama dreamed up by this ignorant drama queen, took one man's life and caused the destruction of another man's life. I hope she feels the overwhelming pangs of guilt for the rest of her natural life. Her stupidity is what caused this entire event to unfold.

While not responsible for the death of this young man, it was the mother, Susan Martin, who allowed the serving of alcohol that fueled his rage and ability to think clearly. White, on the other hand, should have called the police and not gone outside to confront these drunk teens. The poor judgement of two parents contributed to the death of Daniel Cicciaro.

Gotta love an article that says "Wilson also testified that Cicciaro had a blood-alcohol level of between .14 and .15 at the time of his death - nearly double the legal limit."
The legal limit for someone at this young mans age is 0.0 no .08. This kid was a dirt bag and the parents should make a public apology to Mr White.
White should still face charges for illegal possession of a handgun.

You're serving alcohol at your house and then you let them drive away? Teens, adults, whatever. Hopefully the Martin's are feeling this pain, they sure should be. If you are going to allow people to drink, you better also make sure they are not a danger to anyone when leaving your home. These two are getting off real light.

Had this tragedy have not taken place, would these parents still be serving beer or whatever else to underage kids?
Ms. Martin and the Cicciaro had to "know" that these kinds of things went on in their homes, so do you still serve to children? Or did you learn your actions took away a child from his family....
You may not have shot Dano jr. but you sure had a BIG part of his death, I hope you know what you did to this poor family and ask for forgivness from your maker! Rest in peace Dano Jr.
To the Cicciro family you are still in my prayers, God bless you all, Respect always!

People repeat stupid things and never expect it to end in murder. The girl fessed up, ultimately doing the right thing. Sad the young man lost his life over this, but Mr. White had no right to confront these people with a gun in hand. That's why we have the police to call in emergency situtations.

maybe you should:

Jennifer Martin, 16, testified that the situation began to unravel at a birthday party for her brother at her Sound Beach home. When she saw Aaron White there, she became uncomfortable because she then believed he had made "violent and sexual threats" about her while online with her former boyfriend, she said.
After Aaron White willingly left, Martin explained the situation to her friend Cicciaro, who "freaked out" and phoned White, she said.
"I heard him say ...'I'll be at your house,'" she testified.
After Martin told her story, John White's attorney, Frederick Brewington, of Hempstead, tried to put the dispute in perspective. "As a matter of fact, you learned later that Aaron did not send those [threats], right?" Brewington asked.
"Yes," said Martin, who later stormed out of the courtroom.
Prosecutors said someone had posed as Aaron White and sent insulting online messages to Frank Hall, Martin's ex-boyfriend. But, they maintain it was Aaron White who later authored threats to Hall about Martin - contrary to her testimony.

Let Mr White go, he did nothing wrong.Mr.White felt threatened as anyone else would on his property. These kids brought this upon themselves with their hate and racism, their parents are to blame for raising their children to be racist. It's sad that Mr.White now must have his life destoryed because of the actions of hateful, racist teens.

sometimes things happen quickly, did anyone ever stop to think that mr white didn't call the police because he didn't want anyone to get in trouble, even those acquaintances of his son.
these boys went there drunk, with bats in their hands, blocking off the street with their cars looking for trouble hurling around racial slurs.
the boys went to HIS house and property, HE didn't not go looking for them, they came to him.

if this was a gang of ms13 el salvo members or the kkk or any other hate group coming to YOUR HOME, YOU WOULD DO THE SAME, i know i would if me or my family was being threatened.

This girl is a drama queen trying to make the guys fight for her... She should be held accountable as well as her parents for serving alcohol to minors. Some parents need to realize they are the adults and need to stop living through their children!!!

OK lets back up a minute and think of the situation. Aaron White is a party and he's told to leave. He leaves with no problem. He has no idea why he's told to leave. Next thing he knows is gets a phone call that someone is coming to his house. He still has no idea why. Then comes 5 kids sealing off the block and with bats up to his house. The father was right to defend his house and family but was wrong to shoot the young drunk kid in the face. However, I feel bad for Aaron White-he had nothing to do with it and yet his father is going to jail for no real reason other than some drunk kid trying to be a "man".

Actually, the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution states that every American has the right to bear arms. So he did have the RIGHT. What he was guilty of was illegally posessing one without a license.

But you can bet your ass if 5 drunk idiots came to my house with the intent to cause harm to me or anyone in my family...they'd ALL be dead.

so Lil joe- you got all together huh? some angry mob comes to your home and threatens to beat up your family member with bats and you do what? wait for the cops and meanwhile the gang beats your family with bats but cops are 5 minutes away when all it takes is one swing of a bat and they're perhaps breaking you car windows and house windows and they even take a swing at you...yep-lil joe got it all together...let's stand up and give lil joe a round of applause!!!
