Full story: The Morning Call

With its quaint downtown, low crime rate and affordable housing, Emmaus has once again made Money Magazine's annual list of Best Places to Live in America, which was released Monday.

I'm sorry, I misread. I have never been to Lansford. Regardless, my previous comment stands...not taking anything away from other places, just take offence when Emmaus is attacked.

Hopefully the residents and neighboring residents will observe a community pulling together to ensure comfort to it's residents! Maintaining a safe community is tougher than it sounds. Instead of bashing what you haven't worked for, you should instead contribute to your community in anyway possible! Try to keep purchases local and make it a point to know what goes on in your community.

Are we taking about Emmaus Pa?
I don't think we are.
this must be another Emmaus someplace.

The Emmaus in Pa has one west to east street parralled by two railroads.
Lehigh street funnels traffic from the east into and through Emmaus. Speeding cars and endless, thundering, lumber trucks.

The turnpike runs through the west end.

In the center of town, Cedar Crest dumps all of it's southbound traffic.

The only good thing about Emmaus is that it's home to the finest coffee roaster on the east coast.
........and I think there's a McDonalds there.

That's the Emmaus I know of.

Where is the Emmaus in this story?
The one that's the "best place to live.?

I HAD to LOL!!!! I say that to EVERYONE!!! And I'm from Philly!!! I DO have to add, that Emmaus has been a wonderful transition from a major "City Life" to "old-fashioned" town-life. I completely enjoy walking the streets at night with our dog, grabbing a Rita's, and returning home -feeling safe, and running into familiar faces who actually say "HELLO" to you! It's wonderful!

In response to

"Funny how Joyce Marin leaves Emmaus and it becomes a great place to live.

Maybe she should leave Allentown!"

Joyce has left her position as Head of Economic Development in Allentown and has moved to Spain with her husband. Lets see if your theory is right...
