I would have less of a problem with a SLVWD water rate hike if it was for infrastructure improvement.

Committing this dominantly low income and retiree community of 7,200 people to a $12 million dollar "Campus Building" with a 9% per year annual rate increase for the next 20 plus years is both irresponsible and insensitive to the financial capabilities of this community.

We already have "White Elephant" buildings such as the new and abandoned Redwood Elementary school. Redwood Elementary was built on a sound and acceptable building site.

The proposed site for the "Campus Building" is referred to as an "Engineering Nightmare" by engineers working on the project. This is a property subject natural instability, water springs and a swamp like environment.
