This is one place a person can go to escape DBS, a job fair.
DBS refuses to work.
I have offered him work many times at $8 an hour in cash, but he always refuses to join me.
I guess DBS prefers the comfort of his couch and the ease of receiving welfare.
It's in his blood. His dad received welfare and raised him on it.

John Colby's Experience
Postdoctoral advocate and representative
February 2008 – Present (5 years 4 months) Santa Cruz, California, USA
My career in computer science as a newly minted Ph.D. was derailed by TerraCorp Financial and then The John Stewart Company. More specifically my career in computer science was derailed by the sociopaths running these firms, both enabled by government as CalHFA and HUD stood by doing nothing to protect me from these unethical, predatory companies.
In turn, they remolded me as an advocate for tenant's rights using the tools of journalism, private investigation and social media.
I have been wrestling with the government to require it to uphold its responsibilities to the people. I have advocated with local, county, state and federal agencies. My efforts are paying off. I expect substantive victories.
After that occurs, I hope to be able to return to my career as a computer science researcher while also being an advocate for those whose voices are not heard in the halls of power.
I intend to prove that the pen is indeed mightier than the power of money and brute force. With a computer, fax machine, copier, scanner, audio and video recorders as well as a camera, one can leverage social media to conduct guerilla activism. My doctoral education with a word class linguist uniquely prepared me for this guerilla activism.
