Last week i was listening to my scanner (tis what i do best) and I heard something amazing. A Lester PD unit pulled a truck over around J & J Country Corner, (dont think i need to say he was out of his jurisdiction) he then called upon EOC to send a county unit to his location. She (EOC) asked the nature of the call. He proceded to tell her that he suspected a fake inspection sticker and no insurance.(He suspected, hahaha) She then called upon one of the deputies that was at an accident on Willis ave in Crab Orchard. The accident wasnt bad, so the deputy left to go to J&J. When he gets to the area, there is no Lester unit to be found. when he asked EOC where this guy is, she said, and I quote "He was instructed by his mayor to leave the scene, cuz he was out of his jurisdiction. But, he instructed the person in the truck to wait on the deputy." Well duh. I certainly would have waited, now wouldnt you?
How overbearing was that? How dare a Lester unit come into Sophia's jurisdiction and take potential customers away. Sophia, sorry u missed that one, but i heard u out at the magistrates office during this time.
And Lester Mayor, seems u might need a leash on your units, or at least teach them to read a map so they will know when they are out of Lester.
I couldnt help but post this one. Was just too amazing not to. And for you that think I didnt hear what I heard, call or go visit EOC and ask to look at the books. Not sure if they will let you, but I'm sure someone can confirm what i just said.

They do it all the time. I've seen them out area and LIE to the dispatcher where they are when they make the actual traffic stop at least a mile or better from where it was stated.
And they are not the only ones that do it either.

As a matter of fact, you can call EOC with the time, date, and specifics of the call and they will tape you a copy of it for a few dollars (less than $10)! This is not speculation either, I have done it!

Oh, and before someone makes a crack at my spelling: it was a typing error (very common). I think it is petty to focus on this sort of thing, but it does seem happen often here. So in my pre-defense, I do know how to spell "auctually".

If the guy had pulled over a child rapist or murderer, would you still be judging him?
You arm chair police officers need to get a life.
Everybody talks shit about a cop until they need one.

Everybody talks shit about a cop until they need one. I do have a life. And it involves listening to the scanner and hearing small town wanna be cops being bullies. I didnt judge the man, I made a statement of fact. And armchair police officers usually have a pretty good insight on what is goin on round here. Is this how small town cops find child rapist and murderers by pulling over cars/trucks that they deem "suspicious looking stickers" out of their jurisdiction? And once they pull that vehicle over, they cant do a darn thing about it until the real cops get there. All i can say is: beware small town cop, cuz u try and pull me over out of your jurisdiction, then we goin on a joy ride. I will take you all the way to the sheriff's dept. or the state police detachment. Then you can explain to everyone what you were doin... And if that involves me paying a fine to do it, oh well, it would be worth the trip to see his/her face...

Snooks worst nightmare wrote: That would be real stupid..its called fleeing...try it and you will wind up in SRJ.. It's not fleeing if the officer is out of their jurisdiction. They would have had to start the pursuit within their jurisdiction to begin with in order to charge someone with fleeing from an officer/scene...lmao!!

It's sad to see adults with such low standards, and no education at that. It's called stereotyping aka judging, which I believe is a sin. So, if I'm going to hell, then I guess I'll see you there!

you know what's really sad to see , or maybe I should ask, you know whats really ignorant ? You are 5YR, yeah I went to college, but I learned more from the school of hard knocks, from life experience. Just because { and Im assuming here } that you are actually in college and you are actually telling the truth....coff*. You are only showing your ignorance when you assume that people with less education { on paper } dont know anything, it's time you woke up and looked at the real world...the common person { to use that term } built this country with blood and guts, and common sense. They werent all " college grads ", the so called educated people only came in after the work was done...what Im trying to get you to do...is open your eyes and read between the lines of the common man...you'll be extremly surpried at what you just might learn.
