There is no way its 5 yrs old. The delivery guys has to check their dates every month. The supervisors come in and check the dates. Its also not up to the cashiers to check the dates. The pop is sold fast and rotated. IF it was so out of date, somebody would have noticed.

So is Pepsi. They do cooler resets and the drivers dont want to get in trouble for out of dates. When they bring in the pop and stack it in the cooler, they put what was brought last out in the floor then put in the new pop, then put the others ontop of that. I know this because I worked at a convenience store before. We stock from the top. So I know for a fact that there is no way it was 5 yrs old. Besides, the label on the bottle has changed and the drivers or supervisors would have noticed and pulled it.

why are they always out of gas or only have 1 or 2 lanes opened. I hate to stop there and have to get gas. If they are doing it for "run offs" actually it is chasing my business away.

Put yourself in the owners shoes. When people "run off" with gas, its not for $5. It's usually for $40 or more. The cashier gets "wrote up" if they have so many. It usually depends on company policy. That is money the company is losing, gas the company has to pay for, actually twice (the gas when delivered and the drive off) and if they get by with it once, they usually try a few more times.

Dont go by Go Mart at 3pm to 4:30pm, thats when shift change occurs and they have 1 register open. Also dont go there at 7:30am to 8:30am. shift change again. I dont go to Go Mart for my gas anyway. Here is another little hint, at any gas station/convenience store, dont get gas when they are delivering gas. All the "sediment" on the bottom floats up and gets in your tank. I've seen the gunk they get out of the tanks. Thats at any gas station.

Put yourself in the owners shoes. Do you want to lose $50 a day for 365 days. Thats $18,250. I know I dont. And thats only if they have 1 drive off a day.

They owner also needs to think about paying customers who will drive another mile to get gas where it isn't such a hassle. Now I have to worry about what time the shift changes instead of how much gas is in my tank.
Go Mart is prepay so how could there be drive offs now.
I also heard that when you are filling your tank, not to push the handle all the way in so it doesnt fill as fast.

Most of the stores are doing prepay because of the price of gas. It's different when the price/gallon was 1.79 compared to 2.69.

Does any store let you not prepay now? The only 1 I can think of is J&J's Kountry Korner. Even if I knew who was on the pump, I still had them to use to a credit card/debit card or prepay. It is the cashier who is going to lose their job because you dont want to prepay. Put yourself in their shoes, do you let them by with it with the "HOPE and PRAY" they dont drive off or do the prepay and keep the job. Maybe this is how they feed the kids. Jobs are to scarce not to.

I do not have a problem with prepay. When you shop at any store, you have to pay before you get it.
I have a problem with 10 lanes at Go-mart and only 2 open. I have a problem with waiting 10 minutes to get in a lane that is open. I would just as soon go somewhere else where I can get my gas and go.
I like Go mart, stop there frequently. The clerks are always friendly.
I just would like to know why they have so many pumps and only keep 2 open. The wait wouldn't be so long if there were more than 2 lanes open.
I don't blame prepay. Those clerks have a hard job and if they mess up, it is their job on the line.

I have been to several other states and it is not prepay everywhere. The thieving because of the drug problem around here is bad so we all must pre-pay. I don't blame them.
One place I havent had to prepay is Krogers on harper road. Probably because they have a cop that is always on duty. And if you have a card you can get it 3 cents cheaper so it a good deal for you if you dont want to pre-pay.
I dont like gomart gas. In the past I have had problems with my vehicle missing after gomart gas in the past idk if its water in the tank or what but I havent had that problem since I quit getting gas at gomart on harper rd.

If the pumps have a red or yellow bag on them, they are out and the manager has to contact the main office in Gassaway to let them know the pumps need fixed. It takes them a few days to get there and fix them. They have to do a work order and get the guys down there to fix it. If some people wouldnt put their gas cap in the handle to keep it running, they wouldnt have to be fixed all the time. Its done that way for a reason. The cashier has to go outside and clean the mess up because the person getting gas didnt want to stand there, they wanted to get in their vehicle and sit.

Then they are having a lot problems with their pumps. They always have red bags on them.
Ps, I was once there when someone "jimmied" the pump and yes gas did go all over the place. The customer said that he wasnt going to pay for the spilled gas. The clerks there are really great and actually I wouldnt had been able to hold my tongue like they did. Great employs that work there.

I agree. Same thing with Little General too. I use my credit card to keep from having to go inside. I think they should make every shift check the paper. Every shift has to change the trash, stock the cooler, sweep the floor, etc. While they are outside changing the trash, they can check the paper too.

I do know this, if there are more than 3 people in line, the other cashier is to stop what they are doing and help the other cashier out. There is a button behind the register to buzz in the cooler to let them know. If they go outside to smoke and just standing around, start calling the main office and ask for the supervisors voice mail and leave a message. Tell them the time and the cashiers name and what store plus your complaint. That may help. This is for any Go Mart, just not one.
