Folks, we're getting a double whammy. We are losing jobs to low cost countries, and they are using more oil to fuel their industrialization, raising the price of our gas.
That sure is easier for China than going to war with us. They can own us without shedding any of their blood.

We don't need them jobs anyhow. American companies need to compete with foreign companies, plain and simple. If they can manufacture furniture elsewhere and still overcome the massive logistical and freight costs to get it to a showroom/warehouse in the U.S. then there is a serious productivity issue combined with the cost structure of the U.S. furniture manufacturing operations.

Time to get educated people and learn some skills that are in demand.

We that live in the USA need to learn that we still have to work, make more people get paid for what they do than the hours they are on the job and watch things change. Pay by production is a good thing, but most don't see it that way. I work in construction of housing and most all of it is paid for what you do, not how long it takes to do the job. Then you have the people you pay by the hour that won't do a honest days work and think that is OK. WAKE UP PEOPLE, we are where we are because most from here think they don't have to do a honest days work for their pay, therefore your job goes to somewhere other than where you were employed. If more people would have some job ethics and care about their employers jobs would still be in the USA. I am underpaid, but yet I get paid for what I do, if everyone was paid for what they do instead of the hours they are on the job maybe your job wouldn't be sent to China/Korea/? Your employer owes you nothing other than pay for a honest days work, if that was happening here in th USA many jobs would still be here.

It's amazing you were able to logon to a computer. Are you one of the "victims" of the failed industry around here? Good!
