DMV closes High Point, Thomasville license plate agencies

The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles Friday closed the High Point and Thomasville license plate agencies based on a continuing investigation into alleged fraudulent activity.

Ok, so... now what are we supposed to do to change titles? Drive?

With fuel so high (and likely to keep going higher), I think the state should either allow us to file for titles over the internet like we can renew our license plates. Of course, we'd have to mail in the original title to receive the new one, but they could allow us to print a temporary "title applied for" certificate.
