$25,000 bail, parking citation, and a ticket for the misdemeanor all for that hair appointment. Thats one expensive appointment! All thats missing is some parenting classes. Well her son is ok luckily and hopefully this will be one and done.

She didn't learn her lesson, and we will be hearing about her again, now that she has tasted her 15 minutes of fame (with a nice new hairdo!) Maybe she can marry a guy who runs a financial pyramid scheme?

I wish they could make people do time for being complete idiots. How can this fool ever think its okay to leave a child in a car. Anything can happen, take for instance someone stealing the baby. Had this happen, we would have all seen this woman crying and begging for her childs safe return, all while wearing a nice hair do.

With the heat of summer right around the corner, I hope she doesn't decide to leave her child in the car again, who knows what the outcome may be.

The fact this bimbo was not charged is disgusting. Funny how the law applies to some, but not all.

This is outrageous! The "mother" should have gotten a heavier fine along with maybe a week or two in jail. I hope she's learned her lesson, but I doubt it.

I guess I'm of the minority who think she did a pretty good job of making sure her baby was safe while allowing him to continue napping after a rough night - doors locked, a/c on, vehicle parked within 20 ft. of the chair in which she sat in the salon.

There are laws, and there are interpretations of those laws. I'm not saying I'd do the same thing in her situation, but I sure as hell don't want strangers who have nothing better to do judging me when it comes to raising my kid.

I agree. I think we need to stay out of people's business. That's why society is sooooooo messed up. We all want to be right. We all want control over others, but can't handle our own selves. Have any of you made mistakes with your kids??? I know I have, but they have turned out to be wonderful adults with college degrees and great jobs! Please mind your own business people. I think she's doing the best she can do at 21. It's not easy.

I agree too. it's these same people that would rather have the government raise our children than parents. They would rather have teachers than parents help teens decide on abortion.
You have to err on the side of the parent.

unreal, wonder why this is??could it be because she is young and pretty. No she is studpid and should have charges brought against her. Slap on the back of the hand for leaving her baby in a car while she gets her hair done, can't believe she is getting away with this. Everyone else should then too.

This is a complete assinine statement. Nothing better to do? Judging me? Raising my kid? Oh, and the best one, interpretations of those laws? LOL

This lady put her child in danger, a good samaritian came by and saw the danger and called the police. Police come, make a fuss and then do nothing to the irresponsibile parent WHICH they had the full extent of the law to do.

How about when your child has a rough night, you stay home and make sure the child gets the attention needed. But no! IT'S ALL ABOUT MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! !! I COME FIRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST! ME ME ME

You are an idiot!!

this has nothing to do with the government raising our children. it has to do with protecting the children until they can get out from under the idiot parents who don't use the brains God gave them.

I think the public humiliation and fear of going to prison is punishment enough for someone who could see her car and was checking on the baby the entire time. I do hope someone told her that the AC running was not enough to keep the child cool on a hot day though. I seriously doubt she will ever leave her child unattended again though. I doubt she is a bimbo, just a young mother who probably still had a touch of that "can't happen to me". Those thoughts are probably gone now though.

If she had gone into a store where she could not see the car then I would feel differently.

Right on. Maybe she didn't use the best judgement, but did she break the law? The District Attorney who knows the facts and knows the law looked at it and made the decision that she did not. Leave her and her kid alone.

Car's running, baby sleeping in car, mom 20ft. away. All sounds like a nice safe environment huh? Let's see. Getting her hair cut means she's facing a mirror, meaning she's not seeing her car every second she's in the chair. Hair gets washed, no-can-see car at that time either. Other beauticians working, can't keep a visual on her car every second either.

Average time it takes a thief to steal a car not running is under a minute, in most cases 30-40 seconds. Average time it takes to steal a car thats running, less than 5 seconds. Losing your car AND child, priceless.

She left the child in the vehicle (whether running or not, a/c on or not) unattended! She's very lucky that the vehicle wasn't stolen, the child didn't have heat stroke or more importantly, that the vehicle wasn't hit or sideswiped in an accident which could have killed the child. She should go to jail for leaving her child unattended in a vehicle. It should not matter that the vehicle was "on", locked and a/c was on. Unattended is the key ~ she was NOT IN THE CAR. And whatever happened to taking your child with you? They still sleep in their carriers ~ if she is making stupid decisions now, maybe she should make a smart one and give the baby up for adoption; then, have more children later in life when she's a lot smarter or mature!
