Karma, Mr. Lilly is tough, isn't it? You need to learn a valuable lesson here, You have a pattern, Stop it! You are putting your family and everyone around you in constant turmoil. Learn to be a leader, an HONEST leader. Don't worry about trying to select certain people to build your "click". The people that don't require anything from you in return are the ones you want by your side, not the ones you promote, or feed into their egos, or let do whatever they want. Learn what it means to have true respect from your co-workers, without trying to bribe them.

Your nuts! I worked for Chief Lilly and he was as honest as the day is long. That is what got him outed. He refused to play the "good old boy game". He just received the Medal of Valor from this city for God's sake. Who are you?

To Karma, I was at that law enforcement banquet. The city did not give him the medal. The butt kissing underlings in his own dept gave it to him. City Council knew nothing whatsoever about it until it was done. Please tell the truth.

Thats strange, because I talked with the Mayor after reading your comment, because I wanted the truth also. He informed me that it was HE "The Mayor" who gave him the Medal, so yes, the City did give it to him. I also asked about his last two evaluations, one just weeks before he was outested, guess what: he scored above 90 on both, according to the City Manager. If there is a problem, I am one who will search for the truth, but this whole situation stinks to high heaven, and Im afraid that us tax payers are going to have to foot the bill for the mistake of the City Council.

You are lying, Karma. It was ANNOUNCED by Deputy Chief McElroy that he had nominated Lilly for it without Lilly's knowledge, and McElroy then called him up to the front and presented it. I WAS THERE.
You're also lying about the evaluation, because they are scored by EXCELLENT, GOOD, NEED IMPROVEMENT, etc., not by number scores. You are making up stuff, or people are telling you stuff because they know you are gullible.

Dont call me a lyer, it is you who is lying, and it is obvious why. You have some sort of personal agenda, so you must be one of Lilly's former officers whom he disciplined, or you are the the City Secretary Don Chamberlain (who incidently the Mayors reports will not be reappointed for another two year term). Good Luck!
Mr. Clemons states that the scores are added up and then depending on the number, an employee is placed within a rating catagory. I work at KBTX and we have copies of them, that I wasnt aware of until tonight. Lilly scored in the Excellent catagory on the one in 2007, barely down from Excellent into the Good catagory for the 2008 one. There will be a story on this soon.

Oh, and we also have obtained a copy of the medal of Valor Certificates that Hignight and Lilly were awarded, and yes the Mayor did sign them and they have the seal on them as well. I think you are just jelious and its evident to anyone who reads this. You need to get a life, so to speak,,,, or else a job soon, because yours will be going away shortly, from what we are told in our last conversation with two new councilmembers and the Mayor. This will be in the story as well.
