Sierra announced last Tuesday he wasn't running. I don't think King will be running either. Not so sure about Landry. Didn't think Mills would either; but based on pieces that he's had on the agenda lately, I changed my mind on that. I don't think that Sachetta intends to run either; I think that's why they gave him the BOA presidency this year.

Mangan can't run in Ward 2 unless he moves back to it.

Of course you are aware that one person can only run for one seat. I'm not sure either which ones will be running for which seats. But it's pretty likely I think that most, if not all, of the races will be contested this year. It will start to shape up soon enough though.

Chuck Diperri is not running

I heard that DiPerri is fed up and just doesn't want to do it any more. Can't say that I blame him. And I'm also hearing that Chuck's not the only one that won't be running.

Rumor has it that neither Marchese nor McGonagle will be running either. In their case's though, the rumor seems to be that the increase in salary that they would have received didn't make up for their health insurance going away. If you are 55 and have 10 years of service in, you can put in for retirement where they can receive health care. Joe's not quite there in age yet but will be in August of next year. I wasn't sure that he had the ten years in yet either but his campaign announcement for State Rep. said that he did.

Rumor also has it that Lorrie Bruno won't be running either, perhaps for the same reason.

On the flip side, rumor has it that, despite what I previously reported, Sachetta will be running.

So, it seems as if there will only be two members of the current Board of Aldermen (Sachetta amd Mangan) who will be running for the new City Council. It seems as if the present Common Council will likely dominate the new city council. God help us all.

Even with 14 available seats going away, it may be the right time for new people to attempt to jump on board for the new city council. If you are not aware, nomination papers for all local seats up for grabs this fall have been available since April 22.

True True True. Spoke with one that is not running and it's big mouth Rosa DiFlorio that is putting this into people's heads, that they need to retire - now, to get and kind of benefit. I just hope people check it out first - and are being told truths.
Yup, Chuck is fed up and I hope he speaks his mind before he goes and does not rubber stamp the budget and attempts to trim all the unnecessary FAT in it.

Sal says he feels good, so he wants to give it another shot, and Sarnie will be running city wide. So it does appear that the common council will attempt to dominate the new board. ALL Carlo's puppets and not what we need.

The only two that are saying they are running for the new board from the BOA are Mangan and Sachetta. They have not pulled papers yet. Hearing Ragucci & more Dellisola names.

I'd like to see Van Campen come out aggressive. He is well-spoken and seems to genuinely care about the city. People who are serious about positive change in Everett should rally behind him, the sooner the better in my opinion.

I love how the rumors start. Wait until the papers are in before you start dissing on people.

Did anyone see the ad in last Thursday's paper titled Election Thanks by David Rodrigues? "I am pleased and humbled by the results of tonight's election.......I would like to thank the residents of Everett for their overwhelming vote of confidence." I don't remember Rodrigues being on the ballot. It was right under a letter to the editor by his wife, the Mayor's chief of staff. Just shows you who is/is not running the city.

Your post is not worth mentioning. Why would you make a comment like this. Unbelievable. He can be proud of himself no matter what sexual orientation, as any respectable person should.
