Kevin Starr is a real baby. He should get off the bottle and sober up. Someone let him know the booggie man gang is not out there looking for him. Furthermore, if our chief of police says the issue is covered, why the hell would be pay our city attorney money to rework this petition?
EXTRA CASH SITTING AROUND?????? I doubt it.

The two way street connecting Boulder and Main has been a good thing. The city council surely must have plenty to do without going back and changing streets every other year..
I have a couple of ideas. Have them go around the city and see how many lights need to be adjusted so I'm not sitting at a red light with absolutely no cars in the other direction.
Have them go down to The John Fitch and Bemis corner and find out who was the idiot who layed out that road plan. Two lanes off John Fitch going left onto Bemis is crazy. The right lane should be for right turns only. Someone please, get off your seats and go fix this!

What's wrong with the idea of finding a way to stick it to the gang bangers? They advertise what gang they're with, with tags, tats or gang signs. You could also ask them.

Putnam st sucks! Time for one of the people to start a poll to see how the city feels about it

Another road we should talk about is Mechanic St!! What a joke when they moved the yellow line to let people park on the street. There is not enought room. People double park to drop people off!!Someone is going to get killed if you don't change it back. There is plenty of parking in the back on elm st for these people. If they can park there during snow storms they can park there all the time!!!!!!!!!!

To Kevin Starr I still find it hard to beleive that you were elected! Obviously you know very little about gang culture. The gangs will go undergroud if they are targeted by law enforcement. Evidently you havent learned much working at the House of Corruption!

I agree... EXTREMELY stupid just setting people up for accidents. Drivers today are incredibly rude and inconsiderate and would rather cause an accident than let someone else get ahead of them in traffic. The state has now set up more of these moronic intersections all along route 12. Coming down Wanoosnoc Road to Route 12, there are now 4 lanes one to turn left, one to turn right, and two to travel straight through to Bemis. Then of course, when you get to the other side of the light, there are 2 lanes for about a car length where you have to MERGE. From what I have witnessed recently, most drivers have no clue what merge, yield, or stop means. Guaranteed, there will be many accidents at that intersection.

I find it interesting. Joel Kaddy the same guy who defended the rights of sex offenders. I bet if he knew a gang member, he would think differently.

Let them go underground! Keep their sorry a**es off the streets.

Someone needs to explain to me why people piss and moan all day long about the gang problems yet when somebody tries to fix the problem, all people do is critize. I live in one of the rural sections of Ward 4 and voted for Starr. I'm not sorry that I did.

Don't you think working at the jail may have given him some insight to the gang issue? Why don't you ask him about it? You can't believe everything that you read in this paper. Reporters spin the story however they want.

Oh is see all the lovely councilors......what a joke! bad people shouldn't have rights, my question is how do you determine who is good and who is bad, by looking at them? lol he is off the police department and maybe he should stay there off. I am sure he is fed a lot of inside information. What ever happened to our cop Solomito turned lawyer.......another wannabe.

Caddy thinks hes still a cop, rumor has it he wanted to be the police chief last time around.

Maybe hes still mad about not being the top guy on the council.

Unfortunately I'm not surprised that we have a group of you hiding behind your computers and judging councilors, judges, police officers and anyone else who has the nerve to try and find an answer to the gang\drug issues troubling Fitchburg. I lean to the left, and although I agree that people, if not breaking the law by loitering should be left alone by authorities, I do commend Kevin for at least looking for alternative solutions to a problem that does not seem to be getting fixed by the current administration. Oh, and there are states that do have ordinances like this in place. So there is precedent.

Maybe the cops should check out the St. Camillus parking lot next Sunday. There's a gang of people there just milling around. Maybe they are plotting some gang activity or some other bad doings. You what might be going on.

Putnam St. was a gift to the Straights from Mylott and no consideration was given to most of the business owners. It benifits one business, the Johnsonia. Someone told me 100K was spent to turn it to the mess it is now. Where did that come from? Seems there may be another ethics violation that the state missed the last time they were drawn to that area.

The Chief should outsource some Police work to the gangs. They have more manpower and firepower than he has. I know, I know, it's a tax thing.
