Thank goodness for this story. I've been hearing of area landscapers telling homeowners in southern Franklin County that their ash trees might have EAB and then trying to sell them a 'spray package.' Either a scam or poorly informed landscapers. Ash trees sometimes die back at the tips (particularly green ash). It doesn't mean they are infected by anything. Get a second opinion before forking over your hard-earned cash.
