Review: Academic Dermatology, DR. Felix Urman, Md.

Dr. Urman is nice and knowledgable, however, his staff is awful. I have never had such rude customer/patient services over the phone. They laugh at you when you express a concern and won't help you with insurance issues. They claim they don't have the time to call health insurance providers when they have a problem and expect you to call them, when the insurance company explicitly says they need to talk to the Dr.'s office about a claim. Meanwhile, every time I've been there, the staff just sits there and gossips. I have been to tens of doctors and specialists in my time and none of them have ever had a problem calling up an insurance company. That's why insurance companies have special provider services numbers, because they expect that a doctor's office will have to call at some point. The staff is rude and I've never dealt with anyone like this before in a doctor's office setting. I tell them my name and they would reply back to me with a lot of attitude saying, "What?!" I'm sorry my name is ethnic and isn't John or James. It unfortunate that a good doctor has awful staff. I finally decided that good medical treatment wasn't worth the awful treatment from the staff.
