In gangbanging, today's witness is the next day's victim.

"Disrespect" is a mind game that some people and or gangbangers use to justify attacking or killing someone. Of course they probably don't realize they are playing a head game; it's mostly "monkey see, monkey do". These people also use the "Respect/Disrespect Game" to get their way in an argument. The typical effect is for the other person to bend over backwards apologizing that they respect the Game Player. This is a losing battle and the Game Player is the winner. If someone pulls this game on you, the best thing to do is tell the Game Player that you do not play the "Respect Game". The Respect game is a diversion to get the other person to apologize....for nothing.

or... instead of setting yourself up for even more debate, why not just show this person some respect simply by being real with them. Of course if you already have fear of this person, then they can smell that like a dog in which case you don't need to even be there. Fear of somebody due to their stance or what you "think" you know about them can be dangerous and disrespectful because it says you've already formed an opinion long before this person ever could have done you harm. Be real, be kind, make eye contact, and communicate on the level. Don't give the hairy eyeball or be a wise ass. They DO look for that and they expect it. They also expect fear and if they sense it, then your saying you think their just an animal with no heart. Some might have become that but we were all a little baby once and if somebody gets treated like a creep or a freak show animal long enough all because of where their from or what they were born into, then their going to begin to act like one. Show some love people. We all One.
