This is not an "Indian thing". I am a non-Indian member of the Old Bridge community and I'm outraged by what happened at that trial.

I think that the Middlesex County ADA who handled this should resign in shame.

What are you really outraged about? What happened at the trial, or that this has been portrayed as an "Indian thing"? If the Asian Indian community want to stick together to protest, then let them be. In my opinion, had it have been a group of tough looking people walking that night, those thugs would have had second thoughts about viciously attacking them. But because the Asian Indian culture is one of discipline and non violence, this family became an easy target that horrible night.

I am a husband, parent, live in Old Bridge and am roughly the same age as Mr. Sinha. I am not Indian. I am outraged because it could have been me that evening and our town/county's legal system would do nothing to protect me.

Thanks to the incompetence of the Middlesex County's DA office, these thugs can go out and do the same thing over and just get another slap on the wrist. Or another group of hoodlums can safely go out and beat another innocent man to death, with the assurance that nothing will happen to them either.

Thank you, OB Reader; and yes, I agree with you Mr. Rizzo. It was an absolute disgrace on how the prosecution was handled. I wonder how the parents of these thugs would feel if they were attacked so violently, resulting in death.
