I agree with Tiffanie! People need to get off their cell phones and shut up and drive.

Women are the worst offenders of this law!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if women are the worst offenders but it seems like Jersey drivers are. I commute by bus now so it becomes the bus drivers problem but looking out the window it seems like about 1 in 4 drivers are on the phone and fumbling around. And this does not count the women doing their makeup, the people reading a newspaper or book or the idiots sending out text messages.
As Big John Milner told Terry the Toad in American Graffiti, "Toad, driving is serious business". Except on the New Jersey roads!

mark, you`re right on , driving is serious business, however, the problem is just as bad in staten island , brooklyn & manhattan. hopefully new , more enforceable laws will end this problem.

I see mothers as the worst offenders. I see minivans or giant SUVs full of kids all the time, the mom trying to steer with her elbow while handing out juice boxes with one hand and holding a phone with the other. I really do hope that the laws get even tougher. They will give a license to anyone in this country!

They have camera at traffic lights. Scan their plate like they do at toll booths and send them tickets. I almost had someone rear end me today because they were on their phone.
