Why is it that people like that never get injured themselves? Drunk drivers are usually the only ones who survive the accident. I truly hope that karma comes back to this woman and she dies in a horrible accident while using her cell phone (by hitting a tree so no more innocent people who actually pay attention to the road are injured). I think the penalties should be much harsher. If you're not responsible enough to pay attention on the road, you should have your driving privileges taken away. I see someone swerving on 287 at least twice a week because they're busy chatting on the phone.
Since I am responsible while I drive and don't want to be mangled by most of the other drivers out there, I am all for taking away people's licenses at the first offense of talking on a hand-held phone while driving. They can get relatives to drive them or take cabs.
