Why is this a conspiracy? They're just using precautions to make the the employees are checking ID's. If the ID has been scanned then they know the employee is doing their job.

Oh you have no idea how your medical history and personal info will be held against you when the Govmint runs your health care. Your Medical records are already in a national database thats why most all Dr. Office's have computers in the exam room now. Your Dr. visits are not private now.
On the subject of Krogers cards etc. Just fill them out in a fake name and address and phone number. I have since they came out years ago.

Actually, what they are doing is scanning your info...name, date of birth, SS #, address ect ect into a database that they can then sell to a data collection ageny. I see a very big rise in junk mail in your near future if you have been scanned. All about the money...that's all its ever about.

Just wondering what everyone else thinks about the stores now scanning your drivers license? I'm pretty sure they can look at the date i was born to see my age or look at all my gray hair. What information are they obtaining? Is it legal? Is it mandatory now?
Yep the mark of the beast is just around the corner possible next month. I seen the chip implant machine up at Oak Hill Elementary yesterday. In case your are really slow, I am being a jerk. Please don't start or send any emails to all your co-workers. Your uneducated forefathers freaked out about that there phone service in these part too. Sit back walk over to the Speedway and get off over all the beer they have now. Gee willikers Batman we can buy beer now. I can't wait to get wasted, it's like, we never had anything like this in these parts of the industrialized Kentucky.

Get off of your armagedon horse and settle down partner. Obama isn't Muslim, Romney is gonna loose, and they are not out to get you. Scan your drivers license and the legal implications of it. Your are priceless. I will laugh at this until someone else uses scare tactics like this.

Would it be better they scan your id to make sure it is actually the person, or would you rather find out later your idenity bought a house, car and racked up debt from those who steal your idenity. Ask a person that has had to clear their name in many situations from forgery, robbery, credit fraud how hard it is to fix the mess when someone uses your information to ruin your creditability. Fake id's by illegals, criminals and theives is a problem in this country.

Checking I.D. is perfectly legitimate. But scanning? There are many, irrelevant reasons why they *want*(i.e., not need) to do this.

Also, you have other choices to buy cigarettes, gasoline, and snacks - not just Speedway. Just take your business someplace else. And if scanning your license is that much of a deal for you, then boycott them, wrote op-eds about the issue, and hopefully you've done your homework on the situation (and Topix doesn't count as homework).

It's the way things are going. Soon everywhere will be doing the same. Much less chances for fake ids etc etc. I would guess that it won't be too long before it will be required statewide.

I understand many concerns with this...I have them myself but that doesn't mean it's not coming.

The very first business that asks for a scan of my drivers license will not be getting my business any longer. Period.

There was a big article about this back before Xmas, saying many stores wanted to o it for people who made returns. Well, if I have my receipt & they refuse to return or exchange something g without a scan of my license.....I will absolutely sue. And enjoy it.

This type of over reach is exactly why every person needs a plain ole ID card with their photo on it but no other identifying numbers.

Still don't think they need my license for their marketing purposes. That's a business I can live without entirely.

One other thing, you people who are allowing these temporary employees to scan your license. You might want to ask the business or company if that checker has been bonded and is insured. And ask what is you guarantee that your info will not be used against you in any way.
People are foolish to just had over such information to someone who may not even be working there next week. Don't do it.
