Why do the television networks push mixed race couples and families? Every other commercial now a days show a black man with a white woman or his children have white features....just saying.....ain't trying to start a fight or nothing......just curious about the trend.

Wow, for not wanting to start stuff you sure jumped right in with your opinions and illustrative observations. Its 2012 and we have so much more in life to concern ourselves with other than someones birth color which they had nothing to do with. Its one race 'revolutionary'...the human race. Now lets consider affordable health care and unemployment here in the area...hmmm?

Its very hard to discard what we were taught by our parents and grandparents about race mixing. The year of 2012 has nothing to do with right and wrong.I see already that your a"Everything is ok"liberal. You are a small minority here.Take that any way you want.

I don't think we should discard what we were taught, however we should become wiser and better educated than the generation before us. While progressive thinking may be the minority in this area we are the majority when it comes to the nation. Small mindedness has no place in the future, so my suggestion is simple, educate yourself about reality or become a relic of the past.

You have properly assessed the matter, it seems to me, the "just live and let live mentality is prevalent." Mixing the religions may be even more family destroying. Assimilation destroys the purity of anything and we do not represent the rainbow, that is an exclusive sign from God and a reminder to Him that He made a promise to not destroy the population by flooding again, but He will do it next time with fire for purification of the earth.

It would be a more peaceful state of mind to avoid all tv.

Yes, there are strict parameters set up to preserve society that should not be removed. Freedom with quick accountability administered is the best way.

Libs do not believe in influence. Make any reference to influence and they will blather on about logical fallacies, which they misapply regularly to any point they are unable to digest.
Racism is wrong, but this discussion, like most discussions of any substance are outside the scope of this forum.

If racism is so wrong why do the blacks practice it and thats ok but if a white does the same thing,he's racist?

Lets brain it up a little.

There are more reasons than just racism to reject this. Cultural and genetic diversity will eventually be a thing of the past since we'll all be identical. Cultural differences are what gives each race it's uniqueness and makes us intersting, genetic differences are what keeps a single virus etc from wiping our species off the map. When a mixed couple creates a child it belongs to no group and is often rejected by all.

That being said the government should NOT get involved in this. It should be something that's taught to children at a young age by their parents. I taught my daughter this old indian proverb to help her understand...

'A bird and a fish could fall in love, but where would they make a home.'

Translation...true Southerner = Retard. Maybe we need a bit of blood from other races to bring some sanity into the mix. Skin color is no different from eye color or hair color. Go get some education!

An actual intelligent answer. I've heard all of this before, and the fact that there is a slightly higher birth defect rate as well. That being said, one cannot help falling in love sometimes, it just happens. I know it sounds too romantic, but it's true all the same.

So while I agree with you, I also disagree. Unfortunately, this subject isn't black and white.

My daughter said the same thing, my response was a question. In a perfect world we'd all love each other equally, who should we marry then? Obviously the answer is someone we're the most compatible with. There are a lot of reasons to get married but the best is to raise children. With that in mind we should choose someone as much like us as possible, who holds the same belief systems we do, that is able to significantly contribute to that very tough job and is mature enough to stay the course regardless of how difficult it gets.

I agree to a point, but we must remember a few things. Love does not distinguish between, white, black, indian, male, female, gay, straight, smoker, etc. People make those distinctions People learn those "distinctions" as children. Perhaps we should teach children that about real and true love and not discolor it or shame it by our own misconceptions. If God is in control then maybe we should let him work out the details and quite trying to do his job. Besides isn't He the author of love and compassion?
