Does anyone miss Finleys food as much as me. I really miss their Finley burger and their slaw. Does anyone have a receipe for their slaw especially the sauce they used for their hambuger? I can still remember going there when they had a drive in. Their coneys were great too. No restaurant in town compares with these memories.

I miss Finleys alot. The burgers were so good and the cole slaw. Steve Tucker from Macs 27 had the slaw recipe, and we use to get it for our family reunions. Macs 27 has closed but they have it over on East Mt Vernon St at the other Macs. That was my favorite hang out place when i was a teen and now I'm going on 61. I remember Jim Hampton and his wife so well and the carhops Faye and Mary Morrow. And Jerri, the cook- she was one of the best cooks around here.
When I moved back from Canada this year, it was sad that Finlys was torn down. Just like all the old buildings in down town somerset. And of course Jerrys. Wishing- did you grow up here in somerset? Where did you go to school? We need to get others that remembered Finleys on here and reminise the "Good old Days". I definitly miss it. Anyone else?

Scarlett- I have alot of fond memories, and some were just knowing the carhops and Jim Hampton and his wife. All the years I was living in Va Beach, when my ex and I came back home to visit, we always went to lunch at Finleys. Nowhere else could make the burgers, fries and cole slaw like they did. They weere like family to me.
Do you remember a carhop named faye? I thought alot of her. She and the others were always so friendly, joking around alot.
I still have alot of good memories at Finleys. For instance, going there with my puppy-loves, and also with my good friends. We only had Finleys, Jerrys, and the Bowling Alley that were close to my house on Beecher street. Do you have alot of good memories too? What was your name? I probably knew you too. What yr did you graduate and from what school?

scarlett ohara, The Ferguson thread brings back lots of old memories. As does this finley's thread, I know you have more memories of finley's than I do though. Girls is great R is still teaching at PCHS, S is still at the health dept, expecting her first baby. How's your boys & the grandkids. We do need to get together & visit or go out to eat just to catch up on what has been going on in each others life. Do you have a email address?
