I totally agree with SCS Mom! Great school! Great financial investment in our kids! I feel like our kids will have a very stable christian moral foundation and will be able to tackle anything that comes their way later in life. Great EVERYTHING WITH SCS!!!!!!!!!

Some are for sure, but I don't know about all of them. The schools sat scores are above average quite a bit, so I think the quality of the teaching staff is excellent.

i highly recomend it for younger students. however high school wise i dont. THe sport program is extremely weak and provides little or no oppurtunities if expecting to continue athletics outside of high school. Also the education for high school isnt very good at all.

SCS may not be the correct school for the athlete who is wanting an athletic scholoarship. Beyond that it is great. The upper level grades have great teachers. The math dept. is strong and so is the science dept.

While the majority of the faculty believes in the biblical explanation of creation, evolution is taught. The kids must understand that concept to do well in their college entrance exams. SCS is a prep school.

I am a teacher at SCS and yes all of our teachers hold BA degree's. over 80% of us are certified in Education, while the others are certified in guidance, business, etc. We have an excellent staff! Please go to the school and take a tour. I have taught there for 3 years and I truly believe we have great kids. My children will stay there even if I should not.(not planning on leaving). Don't read all the garbage on here, it is truly a good school. My best advice to you, is take a tour, talk to the staff.

Well I heard you all got a new teacher there this year named Jill King Bradley. If this is true, you all got an excellent teacher. Jill is a wonderful teacher and just wasn't appericated at her last place of employment like alot of others that don't get the praise and the repect they desire from the public schools. Again you all got a wonderful teacher when you got Jill

If you don't mind naming names, who made the year so bad for your child and spoke at graduation? I am not saying they didn't, but I'd like to know who, because I am a student there. And what kind of threats? I know that if any serious threats are reported, they'll be taken care of. I've seen it firsthand several times.

I don't know who you are exactly, SCS Graduate. I am currently in the High School at SCS and I'm curious, when did you graduate? Every year our school has improved.

We have wonderful teachers this year and we're getting a quality education. The math and science departments in particular have improved, although we lost a wonderful teacher when Mrs. Barnette left. Also, the students are getting a firm and strict dose of english from the Vanhoose, although I did lose my favorite teacher ever in the previous English teacher.

I graduated last year. And trust me i dont think your were at the school when Mr. volpi was in charge. The school was actually spiritually based, not based on appearance. Since when does a principal interrupt prayer during chapel to tell people to go back to class? The school has changed so much from what it was founded on. All anybody at that school cares about now is the appearance and what it looks like to the public. And yea The highschool teachers were amazing. They were like second parents to me. But they were treated with low respect from not only the people in charge of them but pyscho parents as well. Im suprised they stayed as long as they did. And mr. hale is so focused on anti drugs at that school when really the focus should be on other things, things that are actually going on there. And the spiritual growth of everybody.

I've been there since it's opened pretty much.
Been through Volpi's administration, Crubaugh's, and Hale's.

I have seen the change that has been going on, and I know what you all are talking about, I can understand what you are saying.
I just wish I could take it all by the horns.
I'm an able man who can take a position of leadership, and to be honest, I think I will.
Someone needs to put that place right, if there is real issues that must be taken care of, I might as well try to take them head on.
