Does Girdler have enough clout to sway the state ABC board or will it take a good attorney or judge to do it?

Someone needs to stand up to them for this junk, giving licenses to hole in the wall places that will provide no economic impact to Somerset is just foolish.

I would say he can pull it off, he is a very smart man and knows how to go about getting things done that he wants, this may help his political future, but it could also hurt it to, I guess that will be seen next year when the election heats up, whatever happens will still be fresh on the minds of the voters.

The old saying is, "you can't fight city hall", but when city hall goes up against the state, the outcome has to be fireworks. Lets just sit back and watch the show.

Nope , blame the egotists that tried to manipulate the state - For money to be successfully planted , it must be passed under the table , and not broadcast like a ball game - Everybody knew something wasn't Kosher , when the Frankfort man was suddenly replaced -

after 100 grand in outside attorney fees, that he will never say the city is paying, and the council will never ask , yes he will pull it off.

This is just a thought,

do you think that the ABC thought that if they let Liquor World in,we could not support the other stores.Like when wall mart came in, it ran a lot of local business out.
I know that is giving them to much credit, for thinking. Just a thought.
,or they may have been bought off.

This is all political and not about whats good for economy here, its about who can get the most money out of the deal and i am not talking about business owners, this mayor only does things that will benefit him now or in the future.

We know it is all political, but why?
Why would the city want to waste money on attorneys,if it wasn't?If the mayor wants to sue,or go to court, tax dollars should not be used.
If the ABC did anything wrong, the attorney general would look into it.

It would be easy enough to just wait. See what the selected stores do. If a couple of them fail then the licenses will be back up for grabs. They state can also come back and reassess the number of licenses in a couple years. They can't take them back if they issue too many. Its much better to wade in gently.
I am personally glad to see that at least local people where able to get a license. I totally agree with the keeping the mega stores out so the smaller businesses can thrive and grow.
The mayor needs to back off and let it ride . It would save the city a ton of $. Why don't he focus on some real problems?
