this is not correct, but what is amazing is that councilman jim rutherford still ignores the wishes of the great majority in voting no to request some more licenses. he represents himself, not the 68% voters in the city who voted for it. this is supposed to be a representative govt. he thinks he owns his seat!

I cant wait for the liqour. Would save me from going to Richmond today where ill probly spend most my spending money for the week. Sorry scumerset is losing out. So who cares if we sell liqour in town, i go get it anyway and that keeps ppls money out of local buisnesses. When are you ppl gonna learn you CAN NOT control everybody and you cant make them have your values, ppl are gonna continue to do what every they decide they want to do and you will never have control over the masses.

Has anyone noticed what is happening to our constitution. I guess worrying about getting liquor is more important.

TSA is now doing roadside checks and they will soon become permanent.

Invasion of the Body Searchers: The Loss of Bodily Integrity in an Emerging Police State

by John W. Whitehead

"If you want a recipe for disaster, take police officers hyped up on their own authority and the power of the badge, throw in a few court rulings suggesting that security takes precedence over individual rights, set it against a backdrop of endless wars and militarized law enforcement, and then add to the mix a populace distracted by entertainment, out of touch with the workings of their government, and more inclined to let a few sorry souls suffer injustice than to challenge the status quo.

The resulting concoction, I can promise you, will be a messy, noxious stew unfit for consumption, miserable to digest and with after-effects that will leave you reeling and clutching your stomach in dismay. Such is the nature of life in the emerging police state that is America today, where roadside police stops have devolved into government-sanctioned exercises in humiliation and degradation with a complete disregard for privacy and human dignity.

Obama even signed into law the right of Homeland Security to shut down any and all social networks in the event of unrest simply by citing national security.

New York has passed the toughest gun laws in the nation. Their residents now have one year to rid themselves of semi-auto rifles and any gun that can hold more than 7 rounds. People have one year to sell their weapons "out of state" and if caught with one in their homes with more than 7 rounds, they will be charged.

Just wait and see what obama has in store for gun owners.

So, tey're telling private citizens to sell their own guns.
Who will do the background check? Maybe they can get rid of them at a gun show.

No, they're telling them to sell magazines that hold more than 7 shots or have them modified to hold no more than 7. It's not the firearm itself, but the clips.

I don't know about NY law but not sure that there is any background check to buy clips?

In a worst case scenario and there is a crazed shooter, I doubt that this new law would change anything since my experience with the higher capacity clips is that they are much more likely to jam so the slightly higher reload rate probably won't make a difference anyway

You are some preacher wanna be trying to get your kicks off controlling other people. Most people don't mind if HArry Potter plays in the mall just like most people will not be offended by a liquor store in the mall. Get off your broom and fly home. We don't need you anymore.
Think again know it all, why do you think Case Grande is opening another rest in the old Sonnys building, because too many peopkle complained and said they would not come back to Grande because they are selling liquour drinks.....now one for drinkers and one for non drinkers!

That would be an extemely poor business model and I actually used to know some of the family that run Casa Grande. They are not stupid people. Their current location has confusing road access. Their regulars know how to get there but the ocassional customers don't.
