I used Stanziano once and ended up with his partner (a female judge now), and basically got hammered for an offense that today would not even turn anyone's head. I now have a felony that has followed me for over a decade and I still have not been able to get a dang pardon - for being accused of altering a prescription for ten, yep TEN DARVOCETS....real killer drug there! If Stanziano had been my attorney the consequences would have been much different, I allowed myself to be pushed into using a brand new lawyer, and I continue to pay the price. Stanziano is great, there is no doubt, but if you use him, do not ever settle for any "partner" he may have - you'll definetly regret it. He is the best, stay with him and you'll do well, take care!

I agree completely. I would hire Mark Stanziano in a minute and I would pay what ever fee was needed. But i would not want my case touched by Robert Norfleet. Espically if it was a serious issue. Nothing against Norfleet I am sure he is a nice man but if it is my a*s on the line I want the best out there on my side.

That is a good question. I would like to know the answer to that. I bet he does not do family law. If he did someone would have posted already

I agree. When it is you looking at being shafted by our judicial system you want the someone there that fears none of them. As far as I can tell there is only one man in this county that fits that bill. Mark Stanziano throws it back at them as fast as they dish it out.I have seen it many times while I have sat there waiting my turn to get shafted. Thank you for that Scott Foster. By the way ....he is a Stanziano want to be.

Ok... Mark Stanziano is the best Robert Norfleet and Scott Foster are a distant second Larry Whitaker is a not far behind third.

Is that all we have to offer in this town as far as criminal defense goes? With all the attorneys we have in this town we only have 4 or 5 that practice only criminal law. Is that right?

Well I bet they are busy.

This is the town for repeat customers. This may be the only town where the criminal has their defense attorney's on their christmas card list or on their speed dial. Yes... repeat customers are indeed job security.

I would bet 100.00$ that my brother has his defense attorney's number in his phone if not on his speed dial. He probably sends him christmas cards also. Would not doubt it a bit. Only in Tateville Kentucky.......

I just paid Bruce Singleton 2 grand and he did nothing more for me than a public defender could have done. I am so super pissed.

Wish I had saw this thread before now.

Bruce Singleton lawyer Somerset KY puts on a grand show. He lied to me the first time I met him. He helps people do bad things to other people and will not shrink from trying to take money away from women and children even if he knows his client is in the wrong.
It was big news that he would drive two hours to write a verse in a famous Bible--it would be bigger news if he tried to live by it.

Hello again, poetry lovers. I just wanted to add a couple things given the turn this thread has taken. Forgive me for interrupting.

1. I don't handle domestic cases. Most(98%)of my cases are in defense of citizens who are accused of having committed a crime. That is what I know, that is what I teach, that is what I write about, so that is what I do. Occasionally, I will help out with some other matter, but I am usually just helping someone else out.

2. Mr. Norfleet handles domestic matters as well as criminal defense cases and some other civil matters. Let me just say this about Robert: He works very hard and cares quite a bit about his clients. I have never seen him take a matter less than seriously and he has tried a dozen cases in just about four years of practice. An average of three a year is a lot of trials even though it may not seem like much. He has had a great deal of success in those cases. He fights hard for his clients and will not back down. he is a good young lawyer.

3. No lawyer is going to prevail in every case he or she takes. The very nature of an adversary system where people dispute the nature and meaning of facts means that one side or the other will prevail and the other will not. And, you will notice that I am not saying "win" or "lose" because those terms mean absolutely nothing in the criminal justice system.

4. However, I admit that you have a better chance to prevail if you have an attorney who prepares and who works hard. And, it is also true that many attorneys do neither. Those folks need to be avoided because they are cheats and scoundrels. However, in the field of criminal defense, there are criminal defense lawyers and there are those who dabble in the area. But it is the same in every field. It is why I do not handle domestic matters, or tax matters, or estates. I do what I know and what I am good at. I stay away from what I do not know and what I am not good at. If you are in trouble, hire a CRIMINAL DEFENSE LAWYER, not a dabbler.

5. Having said that, let me also say that you need to be comfortable with whomever you hire. And, you need to have an attorney who is not only willing, but able (meaning capable and competent) to try the case if it cannot be resolved short of trial.

6. Other than that, thanx again for the kind words. I will continue to try to earn those compliments with my efforts on behalf of all of my clients.
