I was hoping to see some feedback on Bluegrass as well. My contract with CellOne is almost over and I've thought about switching. I'm just not sure how well their coverage really is. Surely someone out there is using them? Tell us about the service.

I would have to say that Bluegrass is the suckiest of all because of the lag in text messages and crappy service over all. ATT is like.. the money pig of all along with sprint and nextel. Cell one is great but has crappy phones. Tmobile has great phones, and low monthly bills with no hidden charges. Of course we do not have a retail store here yet but you can buy them on tmobile.com I rarely travel anywhere and not have a signal.

OK, ATT bought Cellone AND Cingular and is looking into buying Bluegrass as well (according to our local sells rep). ATT has the LARGEST free calling network in the nation. You all REALLY need to check out your "facts".

I've always gotten my service at the CellOne in Grand Central, and they were not taken over by AT&T. I have no idea why, but they weren't.

I'm still curious about other providers though. My contract is almost up and I need a new phone. I live in the sticks of the eastern part of P.C. so my CellOne gets little to no service at home, but other than that it seems to work fine. I do agree with the comment on the terrible phones, I've yet to have one that lasted through a 2 year contract. But I figure I will pony up the extra dough for a phone and get a 1 year this time. That way at least I don't have a phone going to crap before the contract is up.

I also have Nextel (work phone) and the service seems about the same as CellOne for the areas I travel.

I'm just still curious about Bluegrass as a possible substitution for my CellOne service?!?!

Is Bluegrass service area as good or better than CellOne? Does anyone know if they would let someone carry a phone with them to see if they can get service in the areas they travel? Maybe not to make calls, but just to check the strength of the signal...

Well, stupid me hadn't even visited the web site yet. I guess I'll stick with CellOne for now, Bluegrass Cell's coverage is just to small for the areas I travel in anyway.

I ended up renewing with CellOne again. Bluegrass's coverage just didn't cover the areas I travel. I got a Motorola KRZR and the signal seems much better than with my old LG phone.

Well I travel alot between Monticello and Somerset and alot of my calling is in the area so I went to Bluegrass and all the other Companies looking for information on phones plans, etc.

From what I saw Bluegrass had the cheapest rates esp for text messaging, and everyone I talked to with Bluegrass said that their sms was doing alot better.

And from what my dad told me who works for Windstream is that AT&T bought most of the Cellular Ones in the area and Verizon came and bought most of the others.

And about AT&T buying Bluegrass. I ask my dad about it and he said that Bluegrass uses CDMA signal(which is also what Verizon uses) and AT&T uses GSM, so it would be stupid for AT&T to buy Bluegrass when it wouldn't help them or their service one bit.

And when I went into Bluegrass's store to talk about service they said they had Demo phone's that people could take to try out service for a few days.

um... I have Bluegrass, and I'm switching to T-Mobile. I get service a lot of places, but their network goes down a lot, and has many issues with dropping calls, not sending text messages, not placing calls, and general service issues. Also, if you were to go into an AT&T store, and find phones offered by Bluegrass there, they would be FREE, not fifty or sixty dollars like at Bluegrass. Go with T-Mobile, they're putting up new stores, and towers all over Kentucky... and they have MyFaves, unlimited calling to your 5 favorite people! I suppose though, it would be a fine network to have if you were only going to make calls and nothing else at all.

please check out tmobile it also uses cell one and other carriers if you are out of their area and its no cost to you, many plans great customer service and great signal almost anywhere they do have contracts and they do have a monthly budget plan, and they have prepaid service with excellent up to date phones from free to reasonable phones. they also have man deals to fit your budget just get online at tmobile.com and check it out. I have had cell one, att and nextell and my mom has bluegrass. and by far i do like t mobile the best, i have had service wih them for over 2 years.

If you like to call the same person two or three times a conversation... Bluegrass cellular is the Best!! You can't drive across Hwy 914 West,( or 914 East or W. 80 or E. 80 or North, etc... without dropping a call.
