That's certainly your right. But the majority is going to allow this to pass. It's apparent from not only what has been placed on here, but from what people in town are talking about.

I'd say it's time to pull your britches up honey, things are going to change around here, and real soon.

Then why are you voting no?
As I said its personal. I grew up in a family with two alcoholic parents both now deceased. There was rampant abuse and all the ugly things that go along with that. The only thing that saved us was moving to this town. My parents didn't know anyone, didn't have the resources to travel to get alcohol so very slowly their dependency on alcohol subsided. That's why I support the no vote. I have to say though, I do not agree with them using pictures of children in their propaganda nor do I have a vote no sign in my yard. I think each person has to have their own personal reason for supporting or not supporting the vote.

If you add pay plus health ins and retirement- the tax payers spend over $20,000 each month on the city council as a whole.

Are you ok with that?

I think I can still remember, when on a date, YES and NO took on a different meaning.

Isn't it amazing how people here think that the alcohol rants on this site actually 'reflect' the feelings of the Somerset city voters? Laughable!! This place is a mix of brain-dead morons, CLEARLY on the weak end of the education range, so they only represent themselves with no vote in the issue. Laughable again!!

I will not vote for any councilman that are there right now, except Minton, i will cast my vote against all the others that have sit there and look the other way, on the police dept issues, the employees that is selling gas back to the city issue, the wreckless way the money is handled and never questioned (i am talking about the city renting a office, when the city has tons of office space. The sidewalks to no where that make no sense at all, go on Ky Avenue for that one and over by Meece Middle school where the sidewalk runs into 80. The backhoe work that has been done even though the city owns 10 or 15 backhoes and has as many employeees that know how ro run them, the list goes on and and on. These councilman are letting one guy run the city, if he done a good job it would be different, but with all the lawsuits filed against the city and outside lawyers he has to use all the time and then for these councilman or women to sit there and never ask a question about the money or anything else is a disgrace to this community and they need replaced.

Don't worry, you will still be able to sell on Sundays and "after hours". And, on the bright side, you won't have to drive so far for supplies
