Bob Conley is a candidate for the 5th district school board position. He and Dr. Citeck are opponents. He does do asphalt work, as well as other business ventures. He is one HARD working man! He is a man of integrity that understands business, the necessity of balancing a budget, the importance of line items on a budget being explained and understood by those approving it and the list goes on and on. Most, importantly, HE IS TRULY INTERESTED IN WHAT IS BEST FOR OUR CHILDREN'S FUTURE education. The school system has been cutting jobs, teachers right on down the line, yet they are creating high paying jobs for retirees of the system. That is called "double dipping"! At the expense of not only our children still in the local schools, but also at the expense of our graduates that are and have graduated college and are TRYING to come back to P.C. and get a job as a teacher or elsewhere in the P.C. schools. I challenge you to talk to people, ask your friends, your co-workers, your business associates..."how many people do you know, here in our county that are college grads in the education field that CANNOT GET A JOB HERE?" The answer and numbers probably will shock you. We need change and leadership. BOB CONLEY will stand up for all of this! Please do some research and vote for OUR CHILDREN!!!

I agree with axe grinder. It is hard to justify high administrative cost, particularly assistant superintendent salaries, while our classrooms have 30 students and teacher positions are being cut. Education and students should be first priority. I do feel however our superintendent deserves to be well paid. His salary should be reflective of other superitendent salaries of other schools of similar size. This salary needs to be competitive to attract and maintain qualified
people for the position.

I know everybody wants their kid to go college become an educator return to Pulaski county get a teaching job and live happily ever after. When this does not happen it's the superintendents or leaderships fault. Wrong! First, there is not an infinite amount of positions. Making up positions for for certain kids is unethical and bogs down the educational system. The real problem is tenure. This breeds giving "bad" educators permanent positions while blocking spots for new or more qualified educators. Unfortunately, this is not a local problem to fix. You can thank the state legislature and the teacher unions PAC for this mess.

Nope, I do not have a college degree, but I have managed to be successful in spite of that. Therefore, I have gained the knowledge that comes with life and having to work very hard. I also know the importance of a college degree for our children and the importance of helping bring our children back home after graduating college! Bob Conley understands these issues and MY VOTE WILL GO TO BOB CONLEY!!! I implore each of you to do the research and vote for OUR CHILDREN!!!

Does not add up...I agree the super soes deserve competitive pay for days worked. They keep increasing admin pay and adding "extended day pay" for days not really worked. Look into it. Teacers dont get "extended pay"for working ballgames, dances, tutoring sessions (except as approved) or for any overtime put in. Pulaski Co. has the most dedicated and hard working teachers. Jusy srive by a parking lot at 5pm. Its still full. Most do it because they care about kids. I just resent that teacers havent had a cost of living raise in years, yet the big administration gladly accepts their raises. Something is wrong with this picture. Once again, school employees are afraid to have an opinion...Too much intimidation.

"Kids first" brings more issues to light. I have heard from teachers about the extra work loads, but most importantly that they are having to purchase classroom supplies out of their own pockets. I don't personally know about admin raises or intimidation, but I do know that we, parents and voters, need to take a serious look into the facts. I really, truly believe Bob Conley will stand up for our kids!

Mr. Fact sounds like your in someone pocket. The only thing that you got the facts on is bad info. All this info is open record. I encourage everyone to do their research. There is less adminstration staff in Pulaski County than there has been in the last two administrations. This includes Bert Minton administration, husband of the current board member, he had not only 2 assistants, but also had a deputy superintendent. I'm voting for Brandy Daniels on that one. If I could vote in the other one I would vote for Cetak .

Why do people in this country resent people who have money? I will admit that I am lower middle class but I admire people who get educated, better themselves, make large salaries and live a comfortable life. Good fro them. I do not go around living in a pity party. I wish that I had been that goal oriented in my younger days. Why do people resent Romney for his wealth? Strange.
We should vote for who we think is better qualified for the job, not if they have too much money by our standards.
Most people with lots of money step on and cheat others to get where they are at. Romney is a crook that is looking out only for his rich cronies. You do understand he has his wealth on another country to avoid paying taxes on it. Seriously, he believes Donald Trump needs a tax break. He is also planning to Eliminate all of your tax credits and exemptions.

Axe grinder is out in left field too. I talked to my kids principal about number of kids in class she says our class are about 20 in each class. She says we have very few classes in the county schools that are as high as 30. Like I said don't let these fellows do your thinking, start asking question. Vote out Minton, vote Daniels.

someone told me that Conley's kids and grand kids all went to Somerset schools. Why would he want to be a county board member, with all that purple and gold in the family. I'd vote for Cetak at least his kids go to the county.

Come get some-I am in NO one's pocket, nor are they in mine. Check your facts on what schools are and were attended. BTW, when did parents get to start choosing where their adult children live, therefore where their grandchildren attend school. That said, your allegation is wrong.

Wow, Conley's kids did not attend Pulaski county schools but instead attended the yellow and purple school, and now we wants to be a Pulaski county school board member. Not who I would want to represent my district. He might turn a little yellow when the going gets tuff. Pun intended. Citek and Daniels choose to send their kids to Pulaski county schools. My vote goes to them they have a true vested interest. Vote Citek and Daniels.

Why does he want to be on Pulaski Board if his kids went to Somerset? Does he have any family in the county?
