One of the questions is When electing a president and vice president, how many electoral votes are allowed PER STATE ? Are you saying you even know what electoral votes are, let alone EVERY STATES electoral votes ? I think very few politians even know the electoral votes except for the largest states. How many points did you give yourself for the answer to this question ? |

WRONG! WRONG WRONG. Google it or check this link, the map shows the electoral votes for each state in 1912. Very different from todays electoral votes, but NOT the same for each state. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_pr... |

Ok, so post a link to the test that you took. I keep posting the link to the VERY DIFFICULT test that I am talking about. Everyone says they aced the test but NOBODY will post their answers. Ther is NO WAY that people on this site could even answer a few of the questions. |

Seems you must have a FB account to participate. The first question was easy. It would be what an 8th grade student of today should know. Was simple math.

Yeah, the math was rather simple on the eighth grade test I Googled from 1912.However,deciphering the wording on exactly how the math problems should be worked proved to be rather difficult. In short,it seemed that one's reading comprehension needed to be sharper than his mathematics skills in order to pass the math tests of the era. |

I am betting that neither the survivors nor those that drowned on April 15th of that year were very much concerned about passing the 8th grade.

The number of electoral votes for each state is the number of congressional representatives (apportioned based on population) plus the number of senators (2 per state)from that state. So the answer to that question is the same today as it was then, "The total number of senators and representatives from that state". The test does not ask you to list how many electoral votes each state gets. The definition is in the constitution and every middle school child was expected to know it. I assumed that every student was still required to learn this basic piece of citizenship, but the public schools have apparently slipped even further than I knew, based on the comments above.
