Seriously what is wrong with you blamers? Alcohol doesn't drive just like guns don't shoot by theirselves . I'm really beginning to think that people who blame mindless objects instead of the human ,must be brain damaged.

So if one who voted for going wet will stand in judgement for it that must make it a sin, correct? My simple question is why is this sin weighted more than other sins? I mean I am going to be held in judgement for all the things I did wrong as are you....so why are you making it sound as if voting to go wet is going to be worse than me lying to someone or taking the Lord's name in vain? It's statements like that...ones used to strike fear in someone....that actually do more harm for Christians than good. You have just made it sound as if you are getting some special privilege the rest of us aren't because you didn't vote wet. Guess what I didn't vote at all because I am in the county and I am going to be held in judgement for the sins I have committed and will commit before I leave this earth. I am fithly rags in need of a savior and I go to church and speak of His good name not because I have it all figured out but because I am in need of a savior. I hope that you are in the same position but I wonder with your statement above.

There are a whole bunch of stupid rednecks in Pulaski County who can't handle alcohol. That being said, they were here..and drunk..well before "the vote."

My friend I agree with everything that you wrote about sin being sin no matter which one it is. The word also says to do good and do not is sin. So if you voted for the sale and you knew in your heart it was wrong, repent or stand in judgement.

Considering that Jesus drank alcohol I don't quite understand your comment. I recommend reading the article in Estill County's wet/dry page by going to firethebootleggers.com/christians.php - It gives a pretty comprehensive look at a Christian view of alcohol.

I think we have gone over this quite a few times but I think you should really consider how this would work. Are you saying that God allocates the net benefit / cost of your vote and partitions it among those who voted that direction? So, let's say 15,000 people voted for alcohol sales, and you are one of them, are you 1/15,000th guilty of murder? Or do you get the full punishment? Let's say the studies are correct and dry counties have more DUI deaths than wet counties. By voting dry, aren't you equally guilty for those deaths? Aren't you equally guilty for deaths of PC residents killed on their way back from Richmond/Lancaster by other drivers? Does God not work that way? If you know, statistically, that more people will die by being dry, aren't you going to stand in judgement as well?

Tragedies like this are horrible and it disgusts me that you would hijack their news value to try to proselytize. Have some respect for the family.

So much for your comment on 10-31 that there would not be any DUI deaths in 3 years

Someone died and it's the alcohol's problem? It is the fault of the person who made a bad decision--period. There are so many things in this world that can be corrupted--the people are who need to make good decisions, and that starts by giving them the choice to make those decisions--not protecting them from being imperfect.

Because it is inappropriate to politicize their tragedy. It's also inconsiderate to bring up political questions to them right now when they have so much to deal with.

If the county were still dry, this still would have happened because that man would have gotten alcohol from one of the many bootleggers here. Don't be ridiculous....get your head out of the sand and stop pretending DUI accidents are new to this area.

A young man died because of someone drinking and driving. Regardless of the wet dry vote you can buy from bootleggers, Lancaster, Danville and many others places. The man who was charged with DUI will be given his judgement not by any of us but by The Lord for his wrong doings, just as we will for our wrong doings. Please have respect for the Family of this young man as they mourn for him.

I have seen your posts many time where you bragged about being down at The Pub and other places in Burnside and then head home out to Bronston, you can't tell me you were not drinking and driving many times yourself!! You have just been lucky so far thats all. This guy had 2 previous DUI's BEFORE Somerset even went wet and other alch related charges, you and the rest of the complainers don't need to be b*tching about wet, b*tch and protest these azzhole judges who let these people off with a slap on the wrist...Oh yea, now they will do something about him, is that not what it usually takes is for something tragic to happen before they do anything!!
