Used to sit in art class and listen to Jerry "D" Dixon talk about drag racing and hanging out at Finley's. Would've been cool seeing it in it's heyday.

used to be a drag strip here, years ago. If i won the lottery, i would build my own drag strip, as well as a couple of custom tracks and hold competions...

it would be so cool to get some of my favorite era of cars racing against each other on the drag strip and 'road' courses...

I remember. There was a guy that drove they called Crip Bolin that drove a 36 Ford coupe. He had one arm and one leg. Anone remember that?

That was when Colyer Brown had a dirt track on Racetrack Rd.- Before the junk yard - I guess that's what started his junk yard- Crip Bolin drove there- Colyer drove some - got his fingers cut off one night - There was a Flynn - Wooldridge - and so many others that are ( probably passed on )-

Love them v-8 10's - My daughter has a '92 - ext. cab that I'd like to have - I've got an almost new 350 or 355 in my p/u that would drop right in -

Racing was and is my families life our Dad pulled Crip Bolin from a burning race car by his one arm..never will forget the good times there! Jess Bell was Dads car driver anyone remember the Red #2..

I rememeber it very well, Jess Bells was my Dad's race car driver, Crip Bolin and my Dad were best of friends. OMG those were definately the good ole days.
