Josh Mckinney makes me wanna shoot myself in the face. Twice. I listened to him for hours today. There's one commercial where he says 99.95 or something like that over and over... the way he says the word "nine" in that commercial makes me want to hurt people. "niiiiiiiiiiiine"

I'm voting for Frank Crabtree. DJ's with metal legs rock. He's also pretty good at playing the air drums in a wheelchair

FYI-Four of the people on your list are no longer employeed by radio stations--Frank Crabtree, John Alexander, Rory Cundiff and Jim Brown. Welcome to the new decade because you are apparently stuck in 1994. By the way it's McKinney all the way bitches!!!

Maybe McKinney is a little irritating on his commercials, but as a DJ I think he does a great job, and love his enthusiasm. I mean, if I had to do commercials for some of this stuff it'd probably be irritating too. Now if he starts doing Carpet Mountain commercials, I may change my mind. I also think he does a great job with football broadcasting. JOSH ROCKS!!

Maybe you don't listen to the radio that much because Frank Crabtree is still employed by the radio station. I heard him on there last month. Maybe you should get your facts straight before you post a comment!!! I still think he has the best voice both on and off the radio!!!!! By the way rollo thanks for the comment. Thats the same thing I was thinking

The best Somerset radio voice of the past fifty years belongs to Jim Brown. Jim could have gotten jobs in much larger markets, but chose to remain in Somerset. Another great voice of the '60s was Jack Baker, who also worked at Chicago's great WLS. Of the current crop, the best announcer is Jon Burlew, a man who combines a good voice with intelligence and love of his craft.

Actually, I not only listen to the radio station, but I also work there. I can tell you that Frank Crabtree is not employed at Clear Channel. He only fills in for Rod when he is on vacation. However, if you think that qualifies him to be in the same category as the full-time jocks who are actaully earning a living by being a DJ, then rock on!

I am sorry I didn't see where the topic said anything about being a fulltime disk jockey. Frank has a very professional radio voice. ANd you're right He doesn't belong in the same category as some of the jocks on the air out there.

McKinney sucks, I hate listening to him, he repeats things.
John Alexandar is by far the best voice period. Plus it helps that he is truely a good guy, a very rare find now adays.

Thanks John for making us laugh; you rock!!!!!!!
