Based out of Nicholasville - Rick Corman is one of the finest guys you've ever met - He mainly does derailment reconstruction - He also owns the train that runs around Ky. where you can dine while travelling - He is a cancer survivor - If anybody don't mind very hard labor , you may stand a chance -

I heard last night on the local news that they will give greater consideration to hiring the applicants who are currently out of work. What a brilliant concept to help the unemployed get back on their feet!

Jessamine Co. or N'ville ends at Brannon Crossing - Just before the Fayette Co. sign on the right - You guys need to take a tour of the red & glass bldg. on 27 -_If it's allowed - The whole bldg. is a hangar for his choppers and little jets - Beautiful place -

In todays economy, its not just a job, its a great paying job. Its only till the rail line is done, and yes, its hard core work, but its a job to get you through this tough patch. Rick only will ask you to do what he has already done and still willing to do.

It is a good opportunity. RJ does a lot of work for the company that I work for. However, although Rick used to do the work--he's no longer able. He might still show up on site, but you aren't going to see him out there with a pick and shovel anymore.......

LEXINGTON, Ky.(AP)- About 1,000 people were waiting by 10 a.m. to apply for about 100 well paying but temporary railroad jobs.

The R.J. Corman Railroad Group originally said applications for the $25 to $35 an hour jobs would go to the first 500 people at a Saturday job fair.

But Noel Rush, a Corman vice president, told the Lexington Herald-Leader on Saturday that applications would be given to anyone in line until 2 p.m. end of the fair.

Twenty-nine-year-old Keith Russell was first in line and had been waiting since 2 p.m. Friday. Russell said he lost his job at Toyota and has been out of work a year.

The jobs are part of a $17.5 million federal grant awarded to Corman last month to improve short line railroads in Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia.

Jobs supplemented by a government grant?!?

I smell SOCIALISM!!

I'll just keep my minimum-wage job at Wal-Mart (and my pride), thanks anyway.

Besides, if I moved up to making $25 an hour, well, that would just mean I would pay more in taxes.

Where's the incentive?

Don't believe this propaganda about "jobs" at Corman!

Their so-called "project" is being funded by STIMULUS MONEY!!

... and everybody knows that the stimulus bill doesn't create jobs! It's a fairy tale!

Limbaugh, Beck, McConnell and Rogers told me so.

Why do you care if it's stimulus money? It's a JOB. And honest to goodness, paycheck earning, self sufficient, not having to rely on the government to recharge your EBT card every month JOB.

That comment proves right here and now that some people would rather sit on their butts and make excuses, no matter WHAT you offer them. As long as it involves an honest days WORK, they'll pass it by. Whatever excuse WORKS, helps them justify not to.

REAL Americans care where the money is coming from!

You need to come on down to our next tea party rally so we can set you straight!

The stimulus is a sham! I wouldn't be surprised if the Corman paychecks bounce!

You need to listen to Glenn Beck, brother.

Until Glenn Beck and his conservatives start to either pay my bills, or give me a better option on how to do such, I'll stand by what I said.

In this economy, would you rather have people WORKING, or LEECHING off the system? That's the bottom line.

I don't care to help you turn this thread into a political platform. It was about job openings for people in this area that are in desperate need of such. Have a wonderful day.
